[Is "Major and Minor" silly or great?]

I think it is both, Silly and Great.

 

Ginger Rogers is gorgeous in the adult parts of her role, and just silly enough in the 12 year old parts to be believed.

 

Great writing gets her a chance to play three roles, and she brings off each one.

...and I loved the ending scene (at the train station).

 

The film is a silly premise, but Ginger makes it fun!

It's funny, but saw that Tarzan film Yesterday, and I was thinking about that same thing. LOL

 

Good Point, but remember the writers and director probably spent a lot of time thinking how to endure the chimps to movie-goers. Probably took a lot of patience.

 

The end result makes ya love the little fella.

Well, I guess you guys told me off.

 

Your responses are like a bunch of film-snobs, that think you are the only ones that can enjoy an old movie.

I watch this channel more than any other, and find the corny, B-Grade, films that are being featured this month to be interesting, but they should only be an occasional diversion from the great classic films usually on TCM.

 

Why do you think the sci-fi network went out of business?

 

I have no problem with these films being shown on TCM, but this many at one short period of time is a bit tedious.

 

BTW: Yes, this is only my first post on these message boards (now second post), but the fact that I took the time to go to the TCM Website, registered, searched out this forum, and presented my thoughts, indicate that I feel strongly on this issue.

Perhaps you "regulars" should afford my point of view the same respect I give yours.

Sorry to complain, but this month all the TCM films seem to be "B Grade".

 

I know that B Grade horror and sci-fi films deserve a wing in the classic film library, but showing this many in one month is ridiculous. I find myself watching HBO more and more.

 

If you want to show some lousy 60's films, at least show some 60's porn. The screenplays are more believable, and the scenary is better. LOL

 

BTW: Where are the Ed Wood films? They would be an improvement over the stuff we've seen so far in June.

 

Come on guys, Please get back to your regular Classic Films.
