I am looking for a title of a film that was aired a couple of years back right before they played another great film: 'A Face in the Crowd.' I think the film has the word 'road' in its title. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. I have been looking for some time but have come up with nothing! A brief description of the film is below.
The film takes place in China. A man is a poor farmer. He takes a wife and as fate has it, becomes rich. He moves away from the farm and moves to the city for his new luxurious life. He loses his bearings and sight of who he is and what he has become. He returns to the farm. There is a plague of sort of locusts that attack all the farmers land. They unite to fight them off and win. The man returns to his senses and his true love. Thus the end of the film.
