  1. It certainly says something about the people who are willing to overlook such cruelty all for the sake of partisanship.

  3. I believe he was nervous about his performance in The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz and how it would be perceived at the time. The story goes that he accepted Jaws because he was worried about not working again after people saw Kravitz. This from the Guardian story .... https://www.theguardian.com/film/2013/may/30/richard-dreyfuss-duddy-kravitz-rerelease "When it first came out I hated my performance, and said so for 20 years. Then I realised I was just nuts, and I stopped." He must have been proud of it later as he was in Cannes for its restoration re-release in 2
  4. Liz Cheney claims some Republicans voted against impeaching Donald Trump because they were 'afraid for their LIVES' and admits she regrets voting for him in the 2020 election because he is an 'ongoing danger' to the US Cheney told CNN several GOP members of Congress feared for their safety in the lead-up to February's vote to impeach Trump for inciting the Capitol riot. 7. In Canada roughly only about 3% are fully vaccinated so doing away with a mask mandate is rather moot. That said the head medical doctors here have been asked to comment about the announcements from the CDC. They will not comment on the U.S. actions but say that in Canada (as in Hawaii it seems) they are taking a more collective approach rather than an individual approach. When 75% are fully vaccinated AND the community spread is well under control they will relax mask mandates. I think this is good. A, it doesn't hurt to wear a mask and who is to know for sure who has been fully vacc

  9. Matt Fuller @MEPFuller · 12h We can place Matt Gaetz in a hotel room snorting cocaine with an escort, according to two sources. A source also says Joel Greenberg will testify that she’s one of 15+ women that Gaetz paid for sex.
  10. REVEALED: 'One of 15 women Matt Gaetz paid for sex with was an escort and Instagram model who led a cocaine-fueled party after 2019 GOP fundraiser and was paid $17,500 from taxpayers' money to be a social media expert but did NOTHING' Florida congressman Matt Gaetz snorted cocaine with a prostitute after an October 2019 Trump Defenders gala, in a hotel room that was paid for by his campaign donors, it has been claimed. 11. Sunday, May 16 8 p.m. Metropolitan (1990). This is still my favourite Whit Stillman film.
  12. Ted Cruz savages Seth Rogen saying he is 'living rent free' in the Hollywood star's head after the actor reignited their feud by calling the senator 'a fascist' and 'whose words have resulted in death' Ted Cruz says he 'lives rent free' in Seth Rogen's head after the actor attacked him on Stephen Colbert's late-night show on Thursday. Cruz and Rogen have been locked in a bitter war of words since January, when the Knocked Up star, 39, labeled the Texas senator, 50, a 'white supremacist fascist' on Twitter. The pair then became embroiled in a social media spat, but it appears Rogen is unwi
  13. 1992 7. Porco Rosso (1992) Hayo Miyazaki, Japan [dubbed version] I thought this was quite well done. Funny, imaginative and good animation. Some of the English language voice characterizations were quite good too, especially David Ogden Stiers as an old Italian. A Tale of Winter (1992) Eric Rohmer, France A pleasant enough film from Rohmer about a young woman who bounces between two men but cannot find true love with either. The one man whom she feels that she can love, the unwed father of her little girl has disappeared. La Vie de Bohe
  14. I don't dispute any of this. Only it is my opinion that in REAL terms the Democrats have not moved far to the left at all. They are certainly not to the left of FDR and that is going on a century ago now. This is just pure Republican messaging. And from a party that is becoming far right extremists, a cult that no longer believes in the principles of democracy.
  15. Well we each have our opinions and this is just that an opinion ... the democratic party has not moved "so far to the left." It is pretty well stuck in the middle but just looks left because the right is moving swiftly to the EXTREME right. By contrast Canada's CONSERVATIVE party would be deemed Communist by these silly standards. There is no need to argue this point as it is just my OPINION. Okay.
  16. Saturday, May 15 midnight. Touch of Evil (1958). Expected on blu ray soon. It will be interesting to hear what Eddie Muller has to say about it. He could certainly start with Quinlan's tie.
  17. Survivor contestant was one of a number of pretty women hired by ex British spy to discredit national security adviser H.R. McMaster and go on fake dates with FBI agents and State Dept staff to record them disparaging Trump A Russian-born former professional poker player who competed on the 2016 series of Survivor was one of a number of women recruited by a former MI6 agent to try and trick Donald Trump's 'enemies'. Anna Khait (center) on Thursday night defended her 'honeytrap' role, for which she is believed to have been paid thousands of dollars to film State Department officia
  18. Sean Spicer once again out to prove that he is incredibly stupid.
  19. The interesting thing about the De Santis providing shelter for Trump is that is they do bring him before a Judge in New York the Prosecutors could argue that he is a very definite flight risk.
  20. Clarissa Ward, Nima Elbagir, and Arwa Damon are three of the best young reporters that I have ever seen. All on CNN covering very dangerous stories around the world. They are not anchors though. I also like Canada's own Lyse Doucet on the BBC but she is getting a bit older now.
  21. You will never gt it. "If God did not want them sheered He would not have made them sheep."
