10:45 p.m. Once to Every Woman (1934). It has a 7.4 imdb rating and stars Ralph Bellamy and Fay Wray.

2:15 a.m The Children Are Watching Us (1944). Vittorio De Sica’s more famous, internationally acclaimed Bicycle Thieves (1948) follows but this lesser known film is also a gem and demonstrates why De Sica was probably the best director of amateur actors and children in film.

I don't think this counts as "limited screen time." She's at least the fourth most important character in an ensemble movie. There are Robert Duvalls and there are Beatrice Straights, and she's clearly a Duvall in this movie.
How did I know that this response was going to be a complaint. I disagree.

and I’ve also seen …

Successive Slidings of Pleasure (1974) Alain Robbe-Grillet, France
Incredibly pretentious. It has lots of nudity with beautiful French starlets but handled in a bizarre non-erotic way.

The plague interferes in the plans of the Friar to deliver an all important letter in Romeo and Juliet.Scene 2Enter Friar John.
FRIAR JOHN
Holy Franciscan friar, brother, ho!
Enter Friar Lawrence.
FRIAR LAWRENCE
This same should be the voice of Friar John.—
Welcome from Mantua. What says Romeo?
Or, if his mind be writ, give me his letter.
FRIAR JOHN
Going to find a barefoot brother out,
One of our order, to associate me,
Here in this city visiting the sick,
And finding him, the searchers of the town,
Suspecting that we both were in a house
Where the infectious pestilence did reign,
Sealed up the doors and would not let us forth,
So that my speed to Mantua there was stayed. -
