Hey Guys,
I saw a film on TCM a year or so back and as so often happens when you haven't seen a film in a while you forget bits and pieces. As it so happens, I have forgotten quite a bit about the film including the title. So if anyone could help me rediscover the film I'd be really, really grateful. It is a black and white film about a young girl (possibly an orphan or a runawway) who is travelling with a man (possibly a con, or a travelling salesman) during the depression era. I don't remember much else aside from the fact that the girl kept singing an inspirational depression era song - something to the effect of 'things are going to get better' and talked about Roosevelt's fireside chats. The song may have talked about a silver lining or pie in the sky or something, but I don't know for definite. Any help would be appreciated.
