A great source of information about the production as well as the reviews of all movies, including musicals, from both the fan and the industry perspectives, can be found at http://mediahistoryproject.org which has scanned and made searchable magazines starting from the nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century.

Can anyone identify this actor? He was the first hat delivery boy in "Gold Diggers Of 1933", he had a few lines, and it's not Maynard Holmes. IMDB won't help you as his character is not included in its cast list for "Gold Diggers of 1933" (although Sterling Holloway is identified as "Delivery Boy #2").Any help would be appreciated!

It was Binnie Barnes who played the socialite Donna Lyons that was the target of the three smart girls, not Alice Brady who played Donna's mother, Mrs. Lyons (thank you IMDB) -

The M-G-M short is called "Stop, Look And Listen". Unfortunately, that's not Phil Silvers. Here's the Wikipedia description of the short https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Look_and_Listen_(film) Here's a pretty beat up version of the short on YouTube -

Can anyone identify this actor? He was the first messenger boy delivering a hat in "Gold Diggers Of 1933", he had a few lines, and it's not Maynard Holmes or Grady Sutton. IMDB and the AFI Catalog won't help you as his character is not included in their cast lists for "Gold Diggers of 1933" (although Sterling Holloway is identified as "Second Messenger Boy With Hat"). Disappointing not to see Margaret Rutherford. Amazing this is the 2nd time TCM has made the same mistake. But for people interested in Hollywood's history it was great because this movie ("Castle In The Sky (formerly Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder)" according to the opening credits) has wonderful color shots from 1952 taken flying over Hollywood, on the streets in front of the Columbia lot in Hollywood and on the Columbia (now Warner) Ranch in Burbank. There are also wonderful unspeaking cameos of Broderick Crawford, John Derek, Gene Autry, Donna Reed, Barbara Hale, and Bonzo the chim
