  1. After falling asleep, it became a pod movie. (...hey, these jokes can't ALL be gems ya know!)
  2. And maybe take a trip to San Francisco?! (...the weather's just now startin' to get really nice there, ya know)
  3. That was a publicity still of Miss Bond...Lillian Bond....and not from the film itself, hercule But as I said, every time SHE was on-screen in that movie, I remember MY eyes being fixed upon HER quite a bit and often to the exclusion of all the other actors.
  4. Yeah, but word is the MACAQUE was always smart enough to know to always wear HIS helmet whenever HE'S ridin' his motorcycle!!! LOL
  5. Most likely It was all the talk about "penciled-in eyebrows", finance (...though I gotta say I really liked the "apples/sauerkraut" thing here!)
  6. No but I'll tell ya who I DID notice in that movie...the "Bond Girl"...Lillian Bond that is... (...forget Nancy Carroll...now THERE was the hottest babe in that entire movie alright...though yeah, she did play somewhat of a little bee-atch in it)
  7. Wow Joe. Speaking of GWTW, isn't it amazing how much Rocky looks like actress Barbara O'Neil who of course played matriarch Ellen O'Hara in that movie?
  8. Eeh! We're just goin' through a little lull right now, THAT'S all, Freddy! Word is by the time the 25th Century rolls around, women will be back wearin' REALLY hot little numbers again, and just like the luscious Anne here is sportin' with her friend Robby...
  9. Soooo...lets see here. Just the FIRST day we have stories about...Ramona, Rebecca, Roxie, Rosie and Ruth. EH?! Man! I wonder what it was with Zanuck and his green-lighting all these movies about women whose names started with an "R"??? (...I guess it's a good thing Kay Francis worked over at Warner Brothers, huh!)
  10. Aaah, but did you know Mr. Pabst ALSO won a Blue Ribbon for his film JUST like he did for his beer??? (...uh-huh, SEE?!...betcha didn't know THAT, now did ya, smarty pants!!!)
  11. And lets not forget Dorothy Malone, and especially after she went blonde in the mid-1950s but still kept those thick dark brows of hers...
  12. Ah yes. I LOVE the campy "Beautiful Girl" segment in "Singin' in the Rain", LP. (...but then again, I love the whole movie!)
  13. Eeh! That's okay, Speedy. BUT, seein' as how you brought it up, what say we continue on with this whole "assets" thing you have in common with Bettie here, HUH?!!! LOL (...and might you sport bangs TOO?...I LIKE bangs...they're sexy!)
  14. "Oh you kids today with all this "online" stuff! Why, when I WAS a kid all we had was an old RCA AM radio...and WE LIKED IT!"
  15. And here MY first thought when she wrote "Pandora" was... (...not that Louise wasn't a hot little number TOO back in the day, of course)
  16. I often wonder if they would expand the intros and extros from, what, about 2 to 3 minutes each to maybe twice that about of time each, if perhaps we'd get much more in-depth information imparted to us. (...well, unless that "15% of errors" would ALSO expand correspondingly to 30% of errors TOO of course, and THEN just forget the whole thing!!!)
  17. Well, I guess it's too bad Cecil is long gone and thus can't fend for himself. (...and after what I heard John Ford once told the guy during a Directors Guild meeting, I doubt HE would help fend for Cecil if HE were still around TOO!!!)
  18. Well, sorry Sans, but after lookin' at that still from that Russian flick down there, I gotta say the "Queen of Mars" ain't got NOTHIN' on that Hungarian chick Zsa Zsa and all the OTHER babes inhabiting our OTHER closest planet to us, Venus... (...though I'll grant you I don't recall any robots in THIS one!)
  19. Hmmmm....so, no garter belts and high heels ya say, huh Speedy?! (...well...there goes MY fantasy here, anyway!!!) LOL
  20. Hmmmm..."a day of Glenn Fords", eh GF?! So tell us. Did all those commercial interruptions keep waking you from a sound sleep or somethin'??? LOL (...sorry, but other than my recent discovery of Glenn doin' a great job in "The Teahouse of the August Moon", I gotta say I've always found his presence in a movie to be the next best thing to Sominex in relief of my occasional insomnia)
  21. Yeah, and let us not forget about Bette's "close friend" Joan Crawford's penciled-in eyebrows back when SHE first hit the scene... ...and then later on when she went to a more "natural" eyebrow look in the '50s and '60s... (...I guess Joan never heard the ol' expression, "A happy medium", eh?!) LOL
  22. Yeah, and it's not like there haven't been OTHER famous Ernests in the world either ya know! Take for instance the following here... ...and... (...know what I mean, Vern?)
  23. Wait now, Andy! DeMille wasn't from Jolly OLD England. He was born in NEW England...Massachusetts to be exact.
  24. And just a guess here Mr.R, but maybe the TCM employee responsible for misspelling Ernie's name is a big fan of one of Oscar Wilde's plays??? (...and was just thinkin' about the..ahem.."importance" of it all)
  25. Well personally, I always wondered why back in the day that seasick sea serpent's name was always pronounced "SEE-cell", and yet that balding old guy who directed all those big overblown epics back in the day is called "SESS-sell"???
