I remember watching this episode as a 13 y/o and when it was first broadcast in '65, and it scaring the ever-lovin' you-know-what out o' me back then, too.

The Fast and the Furious (...I recognized the earlier shot of the Jag XK120 with Dorothy Malone behind the wheel...though I LOVED the Shelley Duvall/Olive Oyl reference here, Kid) LOL
-
Hey! Just remember ONE thing here, lady...ANYBODY who hangs around with FLYIN' MONKEYS is usually someone who AIN'T got the best of intentions!!!!
-
Ditto. Then isn't not only TopBilled's suggestion about a separate forum for this topic a wonderful idea so that for those who have already made up their minds about this topic can skip goin' there, but isn't it ALSO a wonderful thing that if TCM WOULD ever program these sorts of movies in a block, that there's ALSO a thing called the "channel changer" on most people's remote controls TOO??? (...yep, life is JUST so "wonderful" sometimes, ain't it?!) LOL

I think primospromos was probably stating all that tongue-in-cheek, dark. (...or else she REALLY took the musical "Wicked" to heart!)

Programing Idea: "Mistaken Identity"

Yep Kid. For years I also confused those two great British horror film stars. (...though I'll bet we're not the only ones) -
What's rather strange here is that if you check Miss Hyer's Wiki page, it doesn't show her death at all. And Wiki is almost always extremely fast in updating their bio pages of notable people after their death. Btw, in her Wiki page, it states the following: During these years(the mid-50's and later) she was considered (by some) the best replacement for Grace Kelly, who had just retired after marrying Rainier III, Prince of Monaco. Yep. That's how I usually remember her roles...as the prototypical "Ice Princess", and she was very good especially in those kinds of roles.

Well dark, in TB's defense, he DOES make a good point. And so to get this baby a little back on track here... I'm a little surprised that nobody has yet mentioned in reply to an earlier post about "some documentary once shown on TCM about gay Hollywood" that the title of that documentary was "The Celluloid Closet". And yes, I thought it a very well done and informative film.
-
WHAT?! And take the all the FUN out of it?! (...I purposely typed all those asterisks for effect, VX)
-
REALLY?! Then how about that role of his in NORTH BY NORTHWEST, and where he plays James Mason's henchman??? Oh, wait. That was Martin Landau, wasn't it. Never mind. Ya know, I always DID get Landau and Ireland mixed-up for some reason! (...btw, I'll bet you knew that Landau was once married to that VERY sexy Barbara Bain who coincidentally ALSO had kind of a sexy overbite TOO, didn't ya?!) LOL
-
Well, specifically in THIS case, THAT all started when our resident "Anti-Gay Marty" fellow stated John Ireland's name in this thread for some odd reason, and along with noted gay movie stars Rock Hudson and Monty Clift. And then, because he stated John Ireland's name in said post, AND because as Tom up there north of the 49th noted, John Ireland was once married to the beautiful Miss Dru(she with that VERY sexy overbite...and I ain't sayin' that JUST 'cause as a hetero male I always found her very attractive, 'cause I'll bet there's probably a few lesbians AND gay men out there who probably find her very attractive TOO...ah, but I digress), THAT'S how THAT all came about! (...I sincerely hope that this answers your question) LOL

In MY case TB, it's called "Comic Relief", and as you MAY have noticed after all this time, it's MY usual manner of keepin' things from goin' TOTALLY out of control and NOT havin' people at EACH OTHER'S THROATS after "someone" starts in with their "opinions" about their personal feelings about the world-at-large and NOT about FILM!!! (...c'mon ol' buddy, SURELY you know that that's my standard M.O. around here by now, DONCHA???!!!)
-
Okay, here's MY list then, VX... **** **** ************* (yeah, that's a long one, huh!) ***** *** ***** ..and.. ***** (...now get right on this Sister Mary Ellen...and DROP that freakin' RULER TOO, you *****!!!)
-
Okay, hepclassic! Seein' as how you started it, let's hear the REST of Carlin's old routine, OKAY???!!! (...my personal favorite part of it was always: "You can p r i c k your finger, but ya CAN'T finger your p r i c k!")
-
I think you can slip that word past the word filter before noon, Lorna. (...oh...wait...you said "in A pm" didn't ya...NOT, 'in THE pm"...sorry...never mind)
-
Btw, lemme try somethin' here... Has anyone around here ever been to Intercourse, Pennsylvania? ------------------------------------------------ Hmmm...well THAT worked. (...I guess Sister Mary Ellen has been there)
-
Ya better cool your jets here, MissW! Here comes Sister Mary Ellen with that ruler o' hers!!!!!
-
Why, SANS! You little преступник, you! Watchin' those "unapproved" flicks like that! You should be ashamed of yourself! (...why, I'll bet poor ol' Vlad Lenin is probably spinnin' inside that glass coffin o' his as we speak!!!)

Well then Kid, I suppose it's a good thing for you that they cast Robert Culp as the third male lead in "Sunday in New York"! (...'cause if they would've cast Hugh there, then you REALLY would have had one hell of time tryin' to follow the plot of THAT one without a scorecard, huh!!!)
