  2. Sure everyone's great but the Barrymores steal every scene they're in especially Lionel. I love the speech he gives to Wallace Beery.
  3. Anne Baxter looks too much like a child to be considered the wife of Laurence Olivier and playing an older man at that. I like the idea of Margaret Sullavan in the role but Vivien Leigh just doesn't fit the role. Loretta Young isn't bad, she's just better off in comedies in my opinion.
  4. Thanks for mentioning Dorothy Dell! Loooooooove her! So very talented.
  5. In honor of TCM's Battle of the Blondes, who do you think is the sexiest blonde? In my opinion it's Jean Harlow hands down!!!
  6. I watch It's a Wonderful Life (1946) every holiday season and I cry at the end of it every time...I never get sick of it.
  7. I adore William Powell. Was there ever a mess so delightful and yet tough? I love every film that he's in! I especially love the scene in Libeled Lady (1936) where he's fishing. Pure comic genius!
  8. There are a whole bunch of different types of silent cinema. Mabye if you keep on trying different actors or genres you might find one you like. I recommend The Big Parade (1925).
  9. Oh my god that's awful! I think that Barbara Kent is one of the talented silent actresses who never overdid a performance. RIP!
  10. I'm eighteen and I first got into films when I was eleven and saw Singin' in the Rain (1952). I became obsessed when I saw Fred Astaire's movies.
  11. Ann Sheridan in Shine on Harvest Moon with Dennis Morgan
  12. Ann Sheridan in Shine on Harvest Moon with Dennis Morgan
  13. Who is your favorite old movie crush? My favorite is Douglas Fairbanks Jr. Ones that are up there are Ronald Colman, John Gilbert, Phillips Holmes, and Robert Harron
  14. I got really into films on my own but I enjoy talking about them with my grandma.
  15. 5) Watler Catlett was going through a career slump before he was cast in this role.
  16. I've wanted to see Bought! and other pre-code films that are available.
  17. I can see where you're coming from. People think it's odd that I'm attracted to Jack Lemmon.
  18. Russ Columbo as well as such singers as Torme, Damone, Lanza, Sinatra, Crosby, etc.
  19. I think Dwight Frye in Dracula (1931) is the greatest breakdown performance although there are many other fine ones.
  20. Now, Voyager (1942) is my favorite although I think that All About Eve (1950) has one of the best scripts in film history.
