"Hi, is this Bernice Klingendorfer? From Irvington High School? Yeah, this is Jerry Lewis, the guy you turned down for a date to the prom..."

"Yes, Mommy, I know I'm late. Yes, yes I'll be there for my piano lesson. G'bye, Mommy."

I loved reading your story, Dothery. My dad was born the same year as you and Shirley Temple and I wish I could talk to him (and my mom) today to ask them about their own moviegoing experiences in the 1940s and 50s.
As for getting old, I have nothing to add, really, from what I posted a long time back. I'm not yet "old", per se, but lately I'm noticing more and more the gray hairs coming in.... Not enough to make me reach for the Clairol, but enough to make me understand Mother Nature's way of saying, "It's been a long time since you played hopscotch, kid!"

Looks like a young Anthony Hopkins...

"Why, I can't believe my eyes! Mrs. Danforth is really a Mister..."

Well, I guess they can say anything now that Hepburn isn't around to dispute it.

You're da winnah. Your turn.

*Pat and Mike*, with Chuck Connors. He played a police captain:

His initials are C.C. and he had a minor role in the film.

You're halfway there, my friend (according to my source, it was supposedly Hepburn's favorite of the Hepburn/Tracy pairings). Now name the actor whose first credited screen debut it was, and who may have been quite "The Rifleman".

-
Sorry, Hibi, no.
Hint: The title has three words, and the supporting actor (clarifying that it's an actor) was in TV as well as film.
-
Sorry, Hibi, 'tis not.

Cool! I had the feeling I was right, and was sitting here thinking up a new question.

Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy starred in multiple movies, but there was one in particular that was said to be Hepburn's favorite. This same movie was the first credited screen role of another actor/actress. Name the film and the actor/actress whose (credited) film debut it was.

The Graduate, Anne Bancroft was in the movie but it was Linda Gray's leg.

"Soylent Green"?

Lol - what a common plot device! :^0
Back to Lav's question:
*No one believes a witness to a murder.*
-
LOL - is this "Witness to Murder"? (I guessed this on allaboutlana's question, which was wrong, so I'll try again... :^0 )

I remember this quote. Was it Edmund Gwenn and "Miracle on 34th Street?" I don't know who directed it (I don't want to cheat).
