Perfect!
Your turn. -
Awfully close, Kid Dabb! I'm thinking of the movie title, with another rhyming word for insult.

Ditto, flash! I was going to say something at the time but I'm glad that Lav did. I really was "laughing out loud" (LOL). ]

I think I picked it up from Addison's posts. Maybe he's been to India.

I've seen most of the Hitchcock movies, but his most well-known are my favorites - "Psycho" and "The Birds". A total scarefest. I also like "Dial M for Murder".
I remember watching "Rear Window" in a hotel in India. They played a lot of Hitchcock movies there. But RW - meh...

I'm glad you're sticking around, diana.

Last night I watched The Rockford Files. Not much in the way of romance, but some good car chases and hilarious sarcasm.

If you have any thoughts to offer on Mr. Brent's rear end (or, lately, "Leave it to Beaver"), please feel free to join us.

Nice to "read" you again, LadyE.
Yes, I've decided to restrict myself to only posting in the "important" threads, like anything Barbara Stanwyck and George Brent's Rear End.
Interesting, I didn't think about it in that way, a Hollywood history book with elements of Stanwyck in it. That could very well be, especially since I also think Stanwyck was a private person and most of her contemporaries have passed on. But let's see. As long as Wilson writes intelligently I'll enjoy it.
Callahan had sloppy writing, imo. He jumped around all over the place and some phrases and references he used over and over again. And some of the language seemed immature, where I could pick up that he was a younger writer. I didn't agree with some of his assertions either and, if I'm remembering right, he didn't really back it up, that it was really a book of his opinions.
