  1. The issues people are bringing up to judge against GWTW is hilarious. You people realize it was made in the 1930's right? Of course it's overdramatic and some things seem cliche but when you're still in the dawn of talkies, are cliches even cliche yet?!? GWTW is about spirit. You can resign yourself to destitution or you can pick yourself up and dust yourself off and be determined that your life will never reach that low again. You could say it's overdramatic at times but how many wars have you had at your house that you had to survive? Many like to compare Melanie and Scarlett and say how naughty Scarlett was. Yes, she isn't an ideal. However, without women like her, how would the South have the strength to move on after defeat? Melanie had a quiet strength but she would never step too far out of bounds. I think the ideal woman is a mix of both. In tough times, you need someone with the strength of Scarlett but I do look to Melanie for class.
  2. Any old musical that tells the story of putting on a show on Broadway! I'd love to have been on the Great White Way during it's prime :^0 I also love Meet Me In Saint Louis - a very interesting time to live in. (I would also say The Women but those women would drive me nuts!)
