Deighton wrote cookbooks! He also wrote a cookery strip for The Observer. That's one pinned on Palmer's wall in the photo above, and here's another view of it. Caine said he learned a lot about cooking from Deighton.

In Diamond's Are Forever (1971), Bond never seals the deal with Plenty O'Toole, and therefore is only intimate with Tiffany Case. This was by design as the climate of the early '70s wanted a Bond who seemed less chauvinistic. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?

This is very close, Peebs, but in OHMSS Bond actually has two "dates" in a single night, neither of which are with Tracy. Whoops. I'll leave it till tomorrow, then if no one else chimes in I'll answer it and we'll move on.
