Y'know JAMES, I have a similar issue with the "role model" thing. You know... People pointing out some actor's or actress' (and sports figures') personal behavior not being a good "role model" for their children. If I were such a celebrity I'd feel much put upon by this. I mean..... I've already raised MY children, Please don't expect me to raise YOURS as well. Sepiatone

Not a very stellar career for this mostly unknown actress(who quit acting 57 years ago!) But happy birthday to her regardless. Sepiatone

Does this mean that instead of roaring, Leo the lion is just gonna have that dopey smile on his face? Sepitone -
I think it probably might have been. But then it too might have been a thread about Ms. Hiller. Sepiatone

Ah, but DARG, you know he wasn't alone there, eh? Sepiatone

I mentioned in an earlier thread that in some films, and at certain angles, I saw a resemblance of Ms. Hiller to comedy actress JENNA ELFMAN. Who I certainly don't consider unattractive. Sepiatone
-
Yeah, I always thought he was kinds cool. And really not too bad of an actor. Sepiatone

I never said I disliked Coop, just that I think he really wasn't that "great" of an actor. Sepiatone

I feel for ya. I'm in the same boat. But most of my weight gain is due to lack of mobility in the last few years due to spinal issues and a condition called Lymphedema. Since a mini stroke 7 years ago my diet has consistently been made up of "lite" this and that, "fat free" this and that and an extremely low sodium intake. So the more recent mobility issues can be the only reason for the weight gain me and my doctor can consider. Sepiatone

Sorry Darg, but I'm still unsettled as to what I think is the most UNfunniest "comedy" show ever. Three way tie between; BIG BANG THEORY SEINFELD WILL AN GRACE But you did say it's all a matter of opinion. To the bad actors list I'd add... ADOLPH MENJOU GARY COOPER PAT O'BRIEN(yeah, I know. Some kind of "icon" but face it. Had the range of a man with serious prostrate problems. ) Sepiatone

From what I understand, not all the scenes with Lugosi's character in them was it actually Lugosi IN them. Was that right? Sepiatone -

Actually it was the first time I saw BUSHY HARE. Was the aboriginal character always that white? Sepiatone -
There were probably a LOT of less attractive actresses with Olivia's chops, and their being less attractive was probably why they had less "box office appeal". And despite Booth's record of solid stage work , her not being considered all that attractive was obviously why studios didn't want to take the risks. With all this in mind, I wonder how many movies that were considered so-so or mediocre might have been better and/or done better at the box office if cast with less attractive actors or actresses in certain roles. MEMPHIS BELLE interests me. I've seen it before but it's been a while. That single B-17 has fascinated me since I heard it was found overgrown by foliage and sunk deep in the mud on an island just off the Memphis Tenn. shore. Plus, I get interested in seeing any movie with the much unused and underrated MATTHEW MODINE or the equally underused and underrated BILLY ZANE. Thanks for the listings Sepiatone

I know that Cinemainternational was the OP and I was asking him where he got all the near entire page of crap he posted. And mostly, I'd like to know WHY. Sepiatone -
Come to think of it, on me and my wife's first real date (that wasn't a liaison) it was to a Dreyfuss movie. DOWN AND OUT IN BEVERLY HILLS ('86). But now, of course, I don't really remember much about the movie. Sepiatone

I'm more interested in why THIS thread as well hasn't been moved to the "Information Please" page. Sepiatone

OK. so they moved it. But this WASN'T intended as a game, nor a trivia pursuit. If the mods were as smart as they PRETEND to be, they maybe might have moved it to the "Information Please" page. Hope you widdle whiners are happy. Sepiatone

I only watch this turkey if I'm out of sedatives. Hell, not only was the joke that Beatty's character had enough business acumen to run a salon, but also the talent. As I recall, every client of his all wound up with the same hair-do. Sepiatone
-
Yeah, I always thought that was a great scene. And speaking of Dreyfuss in JAWS.... Some years later, in the movie STAKEOUT; While on stakeout, Dreyfuss' character is playing a sort of trivia game with his partner(co-star EMILIO ESTEVEZ) in which one says a line from a movie and the other must name the movie. When it was his partner's turn to feed the line, he gives the line, "Boating accident? THIS was no boating accident" from "Jaws". But Dreyfuss' character answered, "I don't know" Sepiatone

Then please post a link to the Wiki article you mention as when I looked up STINKERS on WIKI, none of that ton of crap in your OP appeared. Hell, I can't even find the WEB SITE. Sepiatone -
Well, Atherton CAN certainly be dull! And for a while, Berenger played TOMMY LEE JONES' brother in law on the soap ONE LIFE TO LIVE. And if you recall, Atherton's character was also too "straightlaced" for Keaton's character. She got bored and moved on. Sepiatone
