Yep dark, I think you're onto somethin' there. Though I have far less memories of Donna's program as compared to "FKB", I do seem to recall Betz's character always striking me as less "fleshed out" than that of Robert Young's.

Well, if you remember "Fronk" in "Father Knows Best", Char, then I know you were as big a fan of the show as I was.
Ya know it's kind of interesting that it's become somewhat fashionable by some to label that program as a "fantasy" and "an idealized image of 1950's American fathers", but I've always been of the mind that this is unfair, because I can recall more than once Robert Young portraying his Jim Anderson character as being "less than perfect" and much more "real" by showing his flaws than the naysayers believe.
(...at least I know my own father was very much like Jim Anderson was portrayed, anyway)

Uh huh, 'cause I'm PRETTY sure that footage of Jane is actually one of the outtakes of the "Father Knows Best" episode titled, "Our Cousins the Sherpas are in Town", and that this was an "outtake" because Jane kept calling out the name "Bob" while forgetting to call Robert Young by this character's name of "Jim" as he returned home from that insurance office where he worked.
Though I'm not TOTALLY sure about this, you understand.

Yeah, but it still ALWAYS all boils down to the fact that Atheists are as much "Believers" in their philosophy as are the Religious, as both of these philosophies can never be proven to be "The Truth" while one breathes in the life-sustaining mixture of 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and the remaining 1% of trace inert gasses and water vapor.
And THUS why we AGNOSTICS of the world are the ONLY ones who REALLY have our "heads on straight", REGARDLESS of how "smart" people like Hitchens, Harris, or for THAT matter Pope Francis, Billy Graham OR any ol' Ayatollah ya might wanna bring into a conversation here might ATTEMPT to come across as being!!!

Yep Mr.Froy, I see I wasn't the only one who noticed the misapplication of the word literally there instead of the correct word of figuratively.
(...btw...my guess is that the "Wonkette" is a college graduate of approximately 28 years young, because I hear and read this sort of "English" used by SO many of our youth of today, and even those who otherwise could be considered "well educated")

DUDE! What the heck are you talkin' about here? Just yesterday the Dow closed at ALMOST 15,000 ! And so, AT LEAST the U.S. Economy was been doin' pretty darn well recently for Corporate America, wouldn't ya say?
You remember "Corporate America" don't ya?! Uh huh, those are the folks who's interests that our supposedly "socialistic"(no WAIT, I've even heard the term "communistic" MIS-applied) current President was going to "take over and nationalize" if he ever got his foot in the White House door!
Well, at least I've heard THAT sorta you-know-what since before the first time he was elected ANYWAY. So, are you gonna deny THAT?
(...OH, and one OTHER thing here...for a couple years now I've had a running bet of 100 bucks going on with my financial adviser at Merrill Lynch that the Dow would never reach 20,000...and from the looks of it lately, it sure as heck looks like HE'S going to win THAT bet!!!!)

That was Billy's first choice as an alternate title.
(...but it had already been used previously as an alternate title for one of the "Thin Man" films, and so once that was brought to Billy's attention, he quickly shortened it to just "HI")

Ya see, I'm pretty sure our new friend here wasn't talking about that 1949 WWII themed movie "Twelve O'Clock High", BUT was in fact inquiring about the 1945 movie, "12 oclock HI", which as you may know was Billy Wilder's ALTERNATE title for his film, "The Lost Weekend".
Uh huh, ya see, because Ray Milland(not of course Gregory Peck...that's the OP's only mistake here) was always either trying to OR was already drunk by noon in this baby, that's why Billy actually preferred that title to the one we're accustomed to today.
(...now aren't you glad I'm also around to clear up these little misunderstandings?!)

Thanks for the link here, Dothery. Yep, after watching and listening to him sing the National Anthem and God Bless America, I gotta say Richard has a great voice, alright!
(...and thankfully didn't resort to all that coloratura nonsense in order to "prove" what a great voice he has, which unfortunately seems the norm now days with people asked to sing these songs at sporting events)

Yep, I occasionally hear I resemble James Coburn. In fact, it happened just a couple weeks ago again after I parked my motorcycle in front of an Ace Hardware store and removed my helmet, and a guy walked up to admire my Triumph.

Couldn't agree more with ya there, willbe.
But then again we're not those "studious" types who so often appear to prefer to keep a more, let us say, "academic" approach to the proceedings around here, huh.
