  1. Yeah, I agree, she doesn't look all that much like her. Just thought the hairstyle MIGHT suggest that to some folks, that's all.
  2. HA! Gotcha beat by FOUR, VX!!! (...well, three and a half actually, if ya count the time I tried sitting through "The Conqueror" and was only able to get half way through it!)
  3. twinkeee, maybe because of Darleen's hairstyle there, I was almost sure somebody was going to guess it was Susan Clark.
  4. Thanks for the explanation, dark. Interesting how our minds work, huh! So, gotta a name for me on the latest one yet?
  5. BINGO, dark!!! I gotta ask: Did you remember her on Hank Fonda's show, or did you have to use Google a bit here? And now the other teenage crush o' mine I promised... (...this one should be a bit easier) Edited by: Dargo2 on Feb 3, 2013 12:43 AM
  6. >Like in the biblical sense? LOL Or as the lady once said..."Ben-Hur before, but now I'm glad that's all behind me now!"
  7. Nope, slayton my friend. Don't get...ahem..."bewitched" with that answer 'cause that's not her. Okay. Second clue comin' up here, though it's just a continuation of the "Tom Joad" thing: Which actor played that part and decades later had his own short-lived comedy-drama series on TV? You should now be able to get to the answer.
  8. If I didn't know better, I'd almost say that that's Imogene Coca at a young age!
  9. Yeah, good point. As they say..."There's always gonna be one out there", huh.
  10. >SPOILER ALERT: Do not read below if you don't know how it ends. LOL Sorry for laughing FL, but I doubt there's anyone who's not only a regular contributor but also an anonymous observer of TCM's boards who doesn't know the ending to this absolutely great film. (...yep, I'd doubt one must to be to the level of loving this film as much as "casablancalover" in order for this to be a surprise...and speakin' o' which, where HAS Charlotte been lately anyway???)
  11. As The Eagles said..."He was too fast to live, too young to die".
  12. Nope, not Juliet. She was a TV star mostly in her younger days, and there's a distant "Tom Joad" connection with this lady. (...and I don't mean she's from Oklahoma)
  13. Speaking earlier here of how good Doug Jr. was as Rupert in "Zenda", I wonder what your opinion is of James Mason in the same role in the Technicolor remake, Tom. I'm going to guess you think he lacked the athleticism, but had the sneeringly snide aspect of the character down cold, eh?
  14. Have a couple of teenage crushes of mine coming up here, guys. First...
  15. Yep, I suppose that etymological explanation could be about as correct as any other.
  16. Yep, I've heard TCM's word filter allows "****" so that any Brits around here can use it to describe someone who's three-sheets-to-the-wind drunk!
  17. Or, as TomH up in Canada would've probably said that, and the original version of it..."in like Flynn"! (...ain't that right,Tom...though of course there's no dishonor in playing off the later James Coburn reference either, finance)
  18. Jan-Michael Vincent (...oh, and I got the Diana Rigg one earlier because, well, it looked just like her but just a whole lot younger, that's all)
