John Cazale
(...and yet another actor who died much too young)
-
Looks like "Fredo" is havin' a bad day there, dark!

-
Funny, the whole "eyebrow" thing has always been one of my turn-ons, also. Yep, a nice dark, arched set has kinda always been my thing on a woman, too. (but sorry, Ms. Carter's there are just a LITTLE too bushy for my tastes) And because that looks a bit out of place on Blondes(think of Dorothy Malone post-bleaching her hair, ESPECIALLY), that's probably why I've always gone more for Brunettes, myself.
(...and WHO in history had better and more seductive eyebrows than Ava Gardner???...NOBODY, wouldn't ya agree?!)
-
Yep "Mr. Carter", I used to be nuts for that whole british accent thing too!
(...'til one day I realized it really doesn't make people sound any brighter!!!)
LOL
-
I don't know 'bout that, twinkeee.
Here's a fairly recent pic of Claire...
(...and to tell ya the truth, for an 82 y/o lady, she still ain't too bad lookin' in my book)
-
Ooooh! Claire Bloom! NOW you're talkin'!
What an absolute beauty!
(...oh, and sorry to add here dark...but WHAT do ya see in H.B. Carter...dude, she may be attractive I suppose, but she's just, always been, well, WEIRD!!!!)

Pretty sure that's Buster Crabbe there, dark.
(...which if it IS, begs the question: Now what is HE doin' in the "post-'50s" thread???)
-
To be honest with ya twinkeee, my wife used to say she liked Paul Sand a lot too.
(...though I'm pretty sure in more of a "cute" and "likable" way)
-
Well, HERE then LADIES!!!

(...I hear you've all been agog for THIS guy for years....at least my wife always said she thought he was hot, anyway...personally, I think his nose is too freakin' big...but then again, ya know what they say THAT is supposed to mean!!!)
LOL
-
>James Stacy?
DING DING DING DING!!!
Yep, that's it, twinkeee.
(...the motorcycle thing gave it away, huh!)
Now, I'd say James was maybe "Hunky", right?!
(...though this is looking at it from a straight male's point of view here, so what do I know, EH?...I suppose you might know best around this...but PAUL SANDS????...once again THIS straight male might think he's CUTE, but "HUNKY"?!...I guess I just don't get you ladies sometimes!!!)
LOL
-
>Wayne Morris!!
VOILA! You got it dark!
I always thought he did a great job in "Paths" playing the cowardly French sergeant....and as I mentioned earlier, considering his highly decorated war record in the USAAF during WWII. So he could "play-against-type" very well.
(...poor guy died of a heart attack at the tender age of 45, and just a few years after "Paths" was filmed)
-
And a clue regarding the "Fuller/Blake Lookalike"...
Think drastic motorcycle accident.
-
Okay, slayton...here's another clue about the cowpoke.
Who was one of the most despicable characters in Paths of Glory ?
-
Nope twinkee...it ain't Robert "I must've left my gun inside the restaurant" Blake, EITHER!!!
-
Nope slayton, the OTHER guy(not the cowpoke) ain't Robert Fuller.
-
>who is that? doesn't look familiar at all.
LOL
Now c'mon, newclassic! If I told ya THAT straight out, where the hecks the fun in THAT...HUH???!!!
Though trust me, the guy WAS an up and comer in Tinseltown in the '60s(and here comes another clue), UNTIL something drastic happened to him.
-
>Hmmm - and this is a post 1950 selection?
The cowpoke in question COULD maybe be in both the "regular" face thread and this one, dark.
In fact, the hint I gave you concerns a movie made in the mid-'50s.
-
Okay, newclassic. How about THIS guy here then...
(...though trust me, with this guy's real life history, you probably wouldn't have ever wanted to start any kind of relationship with him...this dude was and probably still is trouble...and troubled)
-
Okay, and now back to that cowpoke...a hint...
This actor, contrary to his real life courageous and honorable service in WWII, is maybe most famous for playing a rather cowardly and despicable soldier in an anti-war movie set in an earlier war.
-
>....irritate you at the beach...that hunk could never irritate me, I'm in Love.
Shirley...ahem, SURELY you got the idea that I was talkin' about "sand in your swimsuit", right twinkee?!

(...though like the others here, I'd never place Mr.Sand in the "Hunk Column"...but hey, whatever float YOUR boat...at the beach)
-
I always thought his bumbling comedic style was funny, anyway.
-
newclassic, I think twinkeee was just referring to the idea that we've lately been posting a lot of attractive ladies in this thread, and so seeing almost ANY guy posted was a welcomed relief to her.
(...be they Alan Arkin OR Paul Sand)
-
Nope, not Dirty Dan either, dark.
You guys wanna hint?
-
I'll answer for dark here. Yep, that's Paul Sand.
My clue to twinkeee was gonna be somethin' like: His last name is something that can privately irritate you while at the beach.
(...oh, and btw, no, that cowpoke ain't Gene Autry)

Oh, that face, that fabulous face II - Post 1950's. Whose is it?

I would think anyone familar with the "Godfather" films would probably have gotten Mr. Cazale right off too, twinkeee.
