Yep, controversy has often sold more newspaper editions and garnered higher ratings, to be sure.

That may not have been the only response in regard to the issue of "nudity" in her thread which might have caused her to pull it. I think she felt it had segue into that topic much too early after she posted it. (...jus' sayin')

Speaking of which, dark...I got the distinct impression while watching it last night that the Fonda role might've been written with Arthur Hunnicutt in mind. Did you ever get that impression also? I'm not saying Hank didn't do a good job in it, and yeah maybe is even better than Jimmy, but I found it somewhat interesting that he was cast as somewhat in support of Jimmy's role in this thing.

Well, in MY case maybe "years"! (...but then again and just like Shirley, I'm not exactly a "spring chicken" myself anymore, and thus MY concept of "Time" could be a little "out of whack" TOO now!)

(...and if you ask ME, it sounds as if Marian the Librarian might fit that ol' expression to a "T""..which of course rhymes with "P", and that stands for...well in THIS case I'll leave to your imagination what that "P" might stand for!!!) Wow Sans! Gotta say that was one in-depth answer to a question posed somewhat rhetorically and somewhat in jest. But, thanks for takin' the time to do it, anyway. And re the whole Bill Maher thing, you probably know the specific comment he made which caused him to lose his former network late night program, and which although possibly inappropriately stated only due to its timing, was in my view a very accurate and perceptive comment. But enough about that here. And re your disgust about your "The Cheyenne Social Club" thread being hijacked by another regular around here and which appears has caused you enough pain to consider taking a break from these boards, all I can say about that is to please reconsider this thought, as I personally would miss reading your cleverly written posts. (...oh, and btw...I've just finished watching "the Cheyenne Social Club", and sorry, but I wasn't as impressed with it as you seemed to be, though I did think the conversation that Stewart and Fonda got into a few times in this film about their different political party affiliations was a clever little touch, and due of course to them actually being their party affiliations these two old friend had in their lives off the movie sets)

I could always take her or leave her, but once again the "SUTS magic" is workin' on me a bit, and after watching a few of her films again today and tonight, I found myself appreciating her multi-talents just a little more than before.

Well, all I know is after watchin' "The Music Man" again tonight, for the next three days or so when I take my dog Moose for his daily walk, I'll be steppin' to the beat of that darn "76 Trombones" ditty rattlin' around in my head again! (...could be worse though...those "voices" I used to hear could come back!)

Wow, if I didn't know better, I'd swear that that was our family's old stereo console and playing my copy of that old Stones album! (...btw, maybe it was only me, but that picture of Charlie Watts standing in front there, always reminded me of the comic strip character Alley Oop!!!...yeah, I suppose even back then I must've "needed help", huh!)
