Ya want MY guess here, Eugenia?! Well, I THINK Whyaduck probably was gonna start yet another thread around here with the title: 1960 and later movies suck! (...and he just hit the enter button WAY too early, that's all!!!)

And now after all THAT "unpleasantness", where were we here??? Oh, yeah... 4 ? (...and which btw is a number you never wanna say that loudly, 'cause of course you'll have every golfer within earshot flinching...unless you're into that sorta thing of course)

    >Terrible song-----the only Three Dog Night song that was any good was "Easy to be Hard". Betcha didn't know that that song was written with John Holmes in mind, did ya! (...sorry, couldn't resist) Though btw, I did always like their version of Randy Newman's "Momma Told Me Not To Come". (...hmmmm...I wonder why I thought of that right after mentioning John Holmes here?) (...sorry again)

So, in essence you're sayin' that little guy Jememiah was definitely NOT a good friend of yours then, huh?! (...yeah, well, I never understood a single word he said either, so I know where you're comin' from here, ol' buddy)
  5. HEY! That reminds me here, finance. I never did get around to watchin' that recent DeCaprio flick. So tell me, do you know if Leo eventually went with the basic little black dress and pearls outfit or some kinda strapless number in this thing??? (...I'm thinkin' the former, 'cause of course THAT is always so slimming)

Well, MY inclination was to type: "...is the loneliest number that you'll ever do." (...though of course, 2 CAN often be as bad as 1, which of course IS the loneliest number since the number 1)
  7. LOL Yeah, I suppose I can see how that could very easily be misunderstood, Sans....especially because of inventor Jamesssss Dysssssson's pronunciations of certain words. (...yep, it's VERY easily to get all caught up into that whole sibilant s thing he has goin' on in those commercials of his, huh!...it distracts the heck out o' me TOO!!!)
  8. Can NOT disagree with one single word in your previous post here, James. All very fair observations in my book. (...must be that whole "open-mindedness" thing we both share, eh?!)
  9. Well actually James, these very thoughts of yours here came to MY mind as well and as I was typing my positive response to Sepia and his idea. However, I was thinkin' more along the lines that because of what I've heard about Hattie being such a gentle soul and not normally inclined to tell people who REALLY needed to hear her tell 'em to GO JUMP IN THE FREAKIN' LAKE if they didn't like what roles she was offered and took, then Sepia's suggestion of this "one-women show" probably wouldn't be ANYWHERE as much fun as watchin' ANYONE play Harry S. Truman and/or Mark Twain, and of course in which both of those gentlemen in THEIR one-man plays do a WHOLE LOT of! (...and of which were always MY favorite parts of THOSE plays, as you might well suspect!) LOL
  10. Wow Sepia! You're just chalk-full of interesting to think about concepts this morning, aren't ya?! (...what?!...stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night or somethin'?!)
  11. Hmmm...Yvette Vickers and Glynis Johns...twins separated at birth perhaps, Joe? (...at least from that particular picture of Yvette here anyway, wouldn't ya say?!)
  12. I think you might be onto somethin' yourself here, Sepia. Not a bad idea at all here and could prove quite interesting given the right script and actress.
  13. Well, to be honest with ya here, Sans, I've always kinda been a bit surprised that the Brits(and I suppose the Canadians) never spelled the words now in question here as: "motourcar" and motourbike"!!!! LOL (...yep, there's my ol' "superfluous 'u' thing again...I JUST can't seem to get enough of that, can I...just like a pitbull with his favorite chew toy, huh!)
  14. Space has now been cleared in it, Twink.
  15. As far as I know, R.R. has never been honored as Star of the Month(yes, almost criminally...he's one great actor), however he was featured as a SUTS honoree in August of 2010.
  16. Sounds as if you might be referring to the argument made in the 2003 documentary film titled: "Easy Riders, Raging Bulls: How the Sex, Drugs and Rock 'N' Roll Generation Saved Hollywood", which TCM has shown before, finance. (...at least I think it was TCM that has shown it, anyway)
  17. >What people never seem to grasp is that this is not a "new vs. old" thing. It's about the only channel that serves the art of cinema and its history, the only channel that honestly intends to do this (and doing so just as they always have) vs. people who only want what they want. BRAVO, Jonas! VERY well stated!
  18. It kinda looks like Frank("Crazy Guggemheim") Fontaine to me, dark. (...oh, and btw Twink...please accept my heartfelt apology for attempting to take your..ahem.."moment of supreme triumph" away from you last evening) LOL
  19. Twink, I've just sent you a PM. I believe the words contained within it will best explain my thoughts in this matter. (...and I believe you will see that this whole little "dust-up" here really has very little to do with either Audrey Dalton or Danielle De Metz)
  20. Why am I makin' a "big deal" out of this, Twink? 'Cause I'm just yankin' your chain here, THAT'S why, my dear! LOL And just to see if YOU can be a "good sport" about all this too. And especially after you asked me "Why I wanted to "ruin' it for you?" ! LOL 'Cause OF COURSE this isn't a "big deal", BUT it appears because YOU seem to always place such a "high premium" on gettin' the answer first, and then in this case when I proved your answer wasn't right, you still fought me tooth and nail here about this whole insignificant matter. (...oh, and all the while still not admitting that that IS Danielle!) LOL Edited by: Dargo2 on Aug 25, 2013 10:22 PM
  21. HELLO! DARKBLUE!!! WE NEED YOU HERE! So you can settle this and tell Twinkeee that AFTER you've reconsidered your answer and NOW know the facts of the case, that you've come to a NEW conclusion that your FIRST answer was incorrect and that once again DARGO does indeed KNOW HIS STUFF!!! 'Cause Twink, just like all those times you say around here that there were no great movies made after Louis B. Mayer bit the dust, sorry, you're wrong again in THIS case TOO!!!) LOL (...and so take it up with dark about his givin' the wrong cue here, Twink my dear!!!) LOL
  22. Twink, ever consider the possibility here that dark found that picture of Danielle which was mistakenly uploaded into the internet as Audrey, and then because dark knew beforehand that Audrey was in "Titanic", that THAT was the reason he gave that clue??? (...uh-huh, think about that, my dear...'cause I'll betcha ANYTHING that THAT was the very reason the whole "Titanic" thing came into play here!!!)
  23. Looks like I seconded your "appeal" to the "judge" here, eh Holden?! (...yep, I'm pretty sure we're both right here...in fact, I'm now DEFINITELY sure that that was Danielle)
  24. dark, I may be wrong here, but I think that Rich and Holden were correct here, not Twink. Ya see, I GoogleImaged both Audrey Dalton and Danielle De Metz, and lo and behold that very picture came up for each lady among all the pictures of each lady. And so I have the feeling someone at sometime mistakenly uploaded that picture into the internet under the name Audrey Dalton, when in fact I'm pretty darn sure that the lady you posted was Danielle De Metz, because the lady definitely looks MUCH more like the rest of the pictures on the internet under Danielle than it does under Audrey. (...sorry Twink)
  25. >She also brought a lot of dignity to a later Bonanza episode that paired her with Dan Blocker. Lemme guess here, TB! By the end of that episode Julie's character dies, RIGHT?! (...well, didn't all the Cartwright men have the kiss of death when it came to their women?!)
