  1. I have been watching Spanish-speaking movies mostly filmed in Mexico from the 1930's to the 1960's. I discovered a very handsome actor named Jorge Mistral. He had a somewhat tragic life and early death, but his movies were great. He made some for Hollywood too, one being the 1957 film Boy On A Dolphin starring Sophia Loren. I would like to see an evening or a day devoted to some of the better Mexican movies, specifically from the 1940's to the 1960's.   2. This was a really funny movie made in the 1950's (I think). It starred George Gobel, Mitzi Gaynor and David Niven. George was a naieve bumbling rich young man who meets father and daughter card sharks played by Mitzi and David. It took place aboard an ocean liner. Lots of good musical numbers and laugh out loud physical comedy. I wish TCM would show it. Does anyone else remember this movie?
  3. I've been watching The Roaring Twenties and it reminds me of Love Me or Leave Me. James Cagney in both films. He's in love with a girl who is in love with someone else, but feels obligated to JC for all he has done for her. JC is a rough criminal with influence and the other guy is a straight shooter. Does anyone else see the similarities too?
