Wild guess . . . Emilia Fox ?
-
Yes, I saw it a few years ago on DVD. Good moody, foggy stuff.

Greta had a Roomba?

I feel your pain, Addy. When I lived in Tally, there were weeks when I had to take a broom and dust off the car . . . yellow/green pollen about 1/8-inch thick every morning from the pine trees.

"North by Northwest"
"Dr. Zhivago"
"Some Like It Hot"
"Casablanca"

(Just havin' some fun with y'all . . . please throw only ripe fruit . . . it hurts less than the hard, unripened stuff)

Perhaps that's only when the calla lilies are in bloom . . .

Check it out! Groovy audio story about the rise of Hollywood celebrity culture that includes a segment about a studio forcing Johnny Weissmuller and wife to divorce to advance his image as an "eligible" jungle man in real life.

Barbie had a last name?
I thought she was her own woman a la: Capucine, Cher, Madonna, Iman, Bjork, Twiggy, Pink, Sade . . .

For me, a dead giveaway that a film is struggling to find its niche (or isn't really very good to begin with) is when it is advertised in ways like this:
"If you liked 'When Harry Met Sally', you'll LOVE xxxxx."
Also, promoting the actors' previous Academy Award wins in terms of the new film bothers me, too.
I learned a long time ago to pass on most films that do either of these two things (not all, but most).

I have "This Property Is Condemned" on DVD and don't remember that it was particularly pricey.
My DVDs that I do remember as being pricey are the Criterion Collection DVDs such as "Virgin Spring," "Rebecca," "Wild Strawberries," "Ivan the Terrible," and some others.

A "Thin Man" poster next to vintage decanters and cocktail shaker would be cool!

She was on some daytime TV talk show on Friday. I was having breakfast in a diner and they had a TV in the other room. (I wasn't disappointed at not having a good vantage point.)

I always worry that those dental instruments haven't been properly sanitized.
-
I have "The Lost Moment" on VHS and anxiously await its release on DVD. I don't have "The President's Lady" in any format.
I waxed poetic in an earlier post about why I love both films VERY much.

Correct, Twinkeee, woo-hoo!

OK, you 1930s film buffs . . .
"One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I don't know."^[[|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFI's_100_Years...100_Movie_Quotes#cite_note-17]^

If I were the judge, I would have chuckled, sepia.
See all that I missed with my amicable, do-it-yourself divorce 35 years ago? I recently told my ex that I could really use some retroactive alimony. He and his wife found that really amusing

Yet another quality we share, missW. I knit, too (although I don't do so as much as I might like).

<Maybe I should just go to the Zoo and throw cigarette butts at the monkeys or something>
Oh, Addy. I hope your headache is better. (One Aleve works for me when I get those banging headaches.)
I hope you didn't do the above. Wild animals have a way of getting back at folks in zoos these days!

That film reel coffeetable featured in the "Wee Bit" thread would be right at home in your movie-themed apartment!
Sounds like a REALLY fun project!

Clue #4: "I sing, act in film and on Broadway, direct, produce, and write."

No techno joy for Fred! Bummer, man.
