Yes. I've been a very bad boy.

I remember that show, hibi. I watched it the summer of '66 when I stayed with my grandparents. After that show, my grandmother would take a nap and I'd be SO BORED! (NOW I appreciate how lovely an afternoon nap can be, even though I do it so seldom.)
-
Hey, hibi, you remember "Captain Gregg's" lecture about the difference between sheets and sails, doncha!?
-
Wow, very cool! Thanks for sharing, mongo!

Hell, I WOULD NEED a flask to get through a supermarket run in heels and a brat in tow . . . and I have a drink MAYBE twice a year!

. . . AND I was groovin' to The Ohio Players' "Fire" just the other day! -
I hear ya, sepia. Local and national TV news developed a chromokey for the background behind the talking head, for crying out loud! This morning I see that someone took a photo of a cloud over Rome that is supposed to look like an angel. Remember that '80s expression: "Things that make you go hmm?" Well, to me, this issue and media coverage of it belongs in that file.

I have a 1953 menu from Jack Dempsey's NY restaurant . . . framed and hanging in my kitchen. One of the higest priced items is Lobster Thermidor for $2.45. What I find particularly amusing is a little item at the bottom: "Please report any discourtesy on the part of employees to management." I imagine this served as a threat that a good whalloping could be in store for such wayward employees.

I'm sure your instincts are spot on, finance, but GAWD! I can't stand Bette Midler! -
This gal disagrees with you boys. In his younger days, GD had that je ne sais quoi aplenty (something Karl Malden, while a good actor, lacked).

Oh, that face, that fabulous face II - Post 1950's. Whose is it?

That's one of my "top three" favorite contemporary actresses . . . Sigourney Weaver. -
Good idea for a game. Reminds me of Peter Weller . . . but I think he's teaching history at Syracuse U. Or, are you referring to Harrison Ford in "Indiana Jones?"
-
Yeah, OK . . . but you've got to admit that GD is a very fine actor. Latest I read about him . . . he's joined the trend of avoiding income tax in France by moving to Belgium. Si, il est Belgique maintenant.

Thanks for the fun! I only discovered these threads yesterday, so call it beginner's luck.
