  1. Well, it's hard to top "Gone With the Wind" in my opinion, but I did think of two others that I like.... Best: "Arsenic and Old Lace" -- Perfect title for that movie! "Our Vines Have Tender Grapes" (taken from the Song of Solomon) -- also a fitting title for the movie. Worst: "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" -- Yeah, I know Ian Flemming got the title from a series of race cars built around World War I; but it still irritates me. "The Beast with Five Fingers" -- this one's so bad it's good.
  2. Oh, and Moira, I agree with you about Errol Flynn in "The Adventures of Robin Hood". Man, did he look great in tights!!
  3. OMG Moira! Didn't mean to type "The Quite Man"!!! Like you said though, he was QUITE a man....must have been my subconscious comin' out on that one *grin* Lemme try that again.....John Wayne -- "The QUIET Man"!!
  4. I thought of a few more too.... Shirley Temple -- "Wee Willie Winkie" Cary Grant -- "Arsenic and Old Lace" Humphrey Bogart -- "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" Ray Milland -- "The Uninvited" Claudette Colbert -- "It Happened One Night" Greta Garbo -- "Ninotchka" Katharine Hepburn -- "Holiday" Paulette Goddard -- "Kitty" Louis Jourdan -- "Letter from an Unknown Woman" Joan Fontaine -- "Rebecca"
  5. Huh? I mentioned only one performance...."Jezebel".
  6. I was tempted to break the rules like you did loliteblue *grin* when it came to Bette Davis. "Jezebel" is my personal favorite but naming just one as her best is almost impossible!
  7. Good to know Mongo....tough comin' up with just one! Laurence Olivier - "Wuthering Heights" Bette Davis - "Jezebel" Clark Gable - "GWTW" Olivia de Havilland - "The Heiress" Those are just off the top of my head....I'm sure I'll come up with more later!
  8. So true Path. That's just how I tell my sons to deal with the jerks at school. Should follow my own advice
  9. Well, I REALLY have to get to bed Engelbert! Just wait till they read this stuff tomorrow!!!!
