  1. I've always been a fan of Edward G. myself. Two of my favorite movies of his are The Old Red House & Our Vines Have Tender Grapes (although that scene in O.V.H.T.G. with the burning/screaming cows REALLY upset me....was anyone as bothered by that as me??). As far as I know one of the reasons Edward G. didn't get the recognition he should of was because he was blacklisted by the McCarthy witchhunt....branded as a communist sympathizer. When I saw that there was a post about Edward G. I had to chuckle 'cause it reminded me immediately of when my eldest son was born. When the doctor handed him to me for the first time the first thing I said was "Holy sh*t! He looks like Edward G. Robinson!!!". I guess that's an example of how first time mothers assume their newborn babies will be just beautiful and a lot of the time are in for a big shock. My son is now 13 and doesn't resemble Edward G. in the slightest...lol.
  2. Ya left classics?? Bummer. OH, and it's not Moby Dick b.t.w. Well I'll throw out another clue for anyone who happens to be around... Hint#4: NO love at first sight
  3. Drat! Have to run to my son's school with his lunch. The kid would forget his head if it wasn't stuck on..hehehe. Back in a little while!
  4. Yes, any old movie afficionado would love On Borrowed Time. Great part played by Lionel Barrymore! Don't you just love how by playing this game you find out about movies you never might have known about! It's happened to me more than once. Oh, and you haven't gotten it yet so here's another clue.... Hint#2: Nom de plume
  5. Had a feeling that was it! Yes, that was a great one and you are certainly right about the mother's part! My turn now...so off we go! Hint#1: a seaside house
  6. For another hint I'll just guess Shepherd of the Hill (?)
  7. Been wonderin' the same thing, classics. Want to start a round?
  8. Still no clue, need another hint. The Merry Widow (?)
  9. MacGyver Now there's a guy who could make a yacht out of sticks, leaves and sand...
  10. *Twinkle, twinkle little bat....* Yes, moviejoe, I've got the fun thing down that's for sure...lol. AND a very merry un-birthday to YOU! ^..^__)~
  11. Hiya antar! I need another clue so I'll start off with Black Widow (?)
  12. Hey stlgal! I HAVE to get some laundry done or nobody is gonna have clean undies...lol. It's been a blast....hope to see ya on later!
  13. Thanks a lot Stl!! LOL! My brain is tired....I'm gonna give you all an easy one so somebody else can take the reins for awhile. Hint#1: Good and evil
  14. Well that was a good guess....surprised myself! Hey stlgal38, since I just had a turn, do you want to take a stab at it?
  15. Oh stlgal, that was the best part. Death (Mr.Brink) was stuck up in the apple tree (Gramps-Lionel Barrymore) talked him in to goin' up there and he was stuck! Problem was, then no one in the world could die...like those that were suffering etc.
  16. Way to go feaito!! You got it! That is one of my all time favorite movies. If any of you haven't seen it you should....it's wonderful.
  17. Nope feaito. Think old black & white movie with one of the main characters being from a famous many generationed acting family. That being said here's #9: A manipulation of the world's mortality tables
  18. Time for another one.... Hint#8: The word "pismire" is used often (first time I ever heard it was in this movie)
