"See you in the next life." The amount of heart in this movie seems quite rare for an action-comedy-esque film, but it's abundant in Midnight Run. Agreed. The ending scene put a little tear in my eye...and the duo of Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin is one of intense chemistry and perfect timing. You're rooting for both of them at different times, even when they're abusing each others trust (it all works out in the end!). Love it. And the music - Danny Elfman! Fantastic. Such a good opening sequence too. '88 was a perfect year for this movie to come out, it just wouldn't have had the same charm had it been made today. Such a recommended film. xxx
