Today has been an Exceptional, AMAZING Day on TCM !!!.
How anyone can belly-ache about todays schedule is beyond me!

Maybe you don't care for Bette or Astor but there are others who do! TCM is not custom made for you only...there are actors I don't like, but I don't 'bellyache' whenever they're on.
Try AMC if you're not happy......hope you enjoy their commercials!!

P. S. Hamilton, Ontario is about 45 miles from where I live in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and is located on the way to Toronto.
It is also where the first Tim Horton's Donut Coffee shop opened up, a Very popular chain here in Canada and I believe they now have locations in the US as well.

Of course I recognized her instantly from DINNER AT EIGHT, however, you had mentioned her on a previous post when I checked her bio and was shocked to learn that she was not only Canadian but from Cobourg, Ontario, a small town about 2 hrs from where I live !
Of course we are aware of recent (past 20 yrs or so) Canadians who have gone on to become Stars, however, I had NO idea of the amount of well known Canadians who were Stars back in the 'Heyday' of Hollywood, most of whom were from Ontario.
Norma Shearer is another Canadian from Hollywood's Heyday and of course Mary Pickford who irionically was known as 'America's Sweetheart', (one has to wonder how that went over in Canada at the time).

Zsa Zsa in a way , had equal standing with someone like Tom Cruise...
In a way, she did, if not more so !
In her day, she had a tremendous amount of publicity, probably more so then Cruise, which is conducive with being a Star, most notably her love for diamonds, (and JFK).
Only someone with 'Star Power' can comand this much publicity.

To me, Jonathan Winters was Not a Movie Star, he was a comedian but did not have the charisma that a movie star has.
Zsa Zsa, on the other hand could not act, but she did light up the screen and she did 'act' like a Movie Star.

That makes perfect sense ! There are so many bad ones out there, that a good re-make is the only way to go...the problem is, they would never admit to having made a 'bad movie' !
