  1. Mary Kornman.....was one of OUR GANG. Years later she starred in some shorts including Fish Hooky (1933) where she played the part of a school teacher. Twink
  2. ...one can imagine what would probably be in a 'cow hand's nails' ..(doubt if they worried about manicures)
  3. ....and it probably indicated that you weren't a 'cowhand', (know what I mean!)
  4. ...why are some films so un-artistic and films like this one so artistic? Obviously, someone put their heart and soul into THE THIRD MAN and money 'be damned'. No doubt they let their passion rule and were more concerned with the end result rather then the 'box office results', as it shiould be !
  5. ...true, except these are 'out and out' Insults and put downs by the Same 2 people on an on going bases and there is NO mistaken it ! Twink
  6. Man...why is it always ME to cover the bases of others around here! ,,,//////////because you DO IT so Well Dargo!!! Twink
  7. I am HARRASED by the Same 2 people on an 'ongoing' basis ' All the time,' .. It Does Not Stop ! (they know who they are) Twink
  8. Hibi..when New posters come on board, they seem to become "slandered" which is certainly something I have experienced and they "Know" who they are, it is ongoing....
  9. I want to mention IMITATION OF LIFE (1959) which was shown on TCM last week, only because JAUNITA MOORE was so darn good in that movie, so believable ! Even though she was nominated for an Academy Award for best supporting actress, clearly she should have Won that Award ! Twink
  10. The problem with editing old films (and books too) is where would one draw the line? It seems there is no end as to what 'is' and what 'is' Not politically correct anymore! Twink
  11. Oh, it had to have taken you a LOT longer then 10 min to think about what you did wrong...You probably had a FEW Hours of wrong-doing !! Yeah, I could see a Ping Pong Paddle being about the right size for a kid, a least he got the size right, give him some credit!
  12. ...as long as she didn't use those 'hangers' on you like good 'ole Joan did on her kids ! Imagine if they had been 'WOODEN' hangers?!?!......OUCH!!!! :_|
  13. ..being adopted.. Joan Crawford's kids were adopted as you probably know...too bad they did not have parents like yours. You are very lucky ! Twink
  14. It sounds kind of "dorky" :0 Twink
  15. "what is Canadian-ness"? Being Canadian and living in Canada, I have 'Never' heard of "Canadian-ness"! The word, ( if it Is a word), does Not exist!
  16. Suppose your peers are a bunch of dorks... Kids tend to identify with whom they Hang around with. If his peers are a bunch of "dorks" (assuming they don't smoke), it is not likely that he is about to try to be a 'Brad Pitt look-alike' and start smoking. That would make HIM stand out from his peers and kids do not want to stand out from their peers. Of course the same thing can be said about alcohol and drugs, kids see this on the big screen on a regular basis. Twink Edited by: twinkeee on Jun 18, 2013 12:57 PM
  17. ...nor did Claudette look 'matronly' in THE PALM BEACH STORY compared to Mary Astor who always looks matronly. Twink
  18. I assumed I left More then enough information, more then what is NORMALLY Left by any other Poster ! ! TWINK
  19. ANNE SHIRLEY- (Dawn Evelyen Paris)..she legally changed her name at 16 when she took on the role of Anne Shirley in: ANNE OF GREEN GABLES (1934) , based on the Canadian Author's book by Lucy Maud Montgomery, which took place in Prince Edward Island, Canada. The House of Anne of Green Gables still stands to-day and is a Major tourist attraction in P.E.I., Canada. The center photo depicts Anne Shirley (the character) as she was noted for her pigtails, the only thing missing is the Straw Hat she always wore ! Anne Shirley also starred in many other movies, most notable as Barbara Stanwick's daughter in STELLA DALLAS (1937), also opposite Dick Powell in MURDER, MY SWEET (1944) Twinks
  20. Yeah, she had a Paid companion (some sort of Gigolo) and he wasn't even 'good looking', whereas, Claudette had some 'ole geezer offer her money !
