Rita Hayworth or Lana Turner
I think Lana would have had the 'right chemistry' with Bogey!

< ...great Dragnet TV Show...>
Now, Who would play 'You' in this TV show...I mean, you refer to yourself as being "Extremely
Handsome"...so it is difficult to come up with someone to fit that descrip.,
..........the only actor I can think of would be 'George Clooney' who could play You ! :|

Sam Spade seems almost as bad as the crooks..
..true, I did not like the ending, the way he laughed when he left the jail, as if he had '[put one over' on her...
-
Sam certainly is 'cool and suave', very sure of himself.........he seems to attract woment like flys.
-
....takes it off as if it has cooties on it......
...yes, I noticed that..she rolls it around her arm and then 'Throws' it..
Of course, it was a 'given' that Spade slept in the bed, we knew that when he said, "I'll sleep on the couch", you knew that was 'not' going to happen, no surprises there.

Yes, you're right..Bebe is much better and I have always thought that Mary Astor looked like an 'old maid', she seemed to be 'prematurely' old!
-
.looking forward to it Twink

It is all together ' Different ' in real life then on the screen, isn't.
I do not drink at all, only because you hear so much about 'alcoholics' that I would 'not' want to become one.
-
The mere fact that you got to talk to her and she DID agree to meet you for a drink, that is something in itself !

You will always have those memories

PS Bet you would not have worn your Green Leisure Suit for that drink
...but , then again...Edited by: twinkeee on Jun 7, 2013 7:22 PM

I would have called her anyway, but 'that's water under the bridge' and everything has it's reason.
Look at it this way, you probably saved yourself a lot of heartache if she went on to marry 6 times...
-
Oh, That is funny....it would make for a good show !

-
I saw her on THE VIEW a few years ago. At the time. she talked about a possible remake of THE SUMMER OF '42 , of course, it never happened.
-
WOW!!!!.....I'm Impressed !
That IS interesting!!.... You could have been ex-husband #2, #3, etc.
What stopped you from following through with a date ?
-
Yeah ! Saving my Canadian $$$ just so I could see you at Chippendale's (Green leisure suit no less , what were you thinking ?) :0
....and I suppose it was 100% Polyester !
Wait ! ....You weren't the Guy with his shirt Undone, and Hairy Chest & Heavy Gold Chains ! :^0
PS.... I take it you were 'No' John Travolta !!...at least he had enough sense to wear a 'White' LEISURE Suit !
-
Christie was extremely funny on Letterman (he brought a hamburger with him on the show), it was a side of him I had never seen of him before, but then I have to admit, I'd hardly ever seen him before except on the News.
I 'adore' a sense of humor in a man, so much more important then his 'weight' !
...can't believe a 'sense of humo'u'r didn't work for you, even when you were a 'Chippendale' in your red Wal-Mart vest ?
-
Yes, I heard about his "surgery'........although when he was on Letterman (prior to his surgery), he claimed his wife did not have a problem with his weight !
I guess she felt it was what was 'inside' that mattered .....
-
...where they agree to meet at the top of The Empire State Building,,,
...nowadays, they probably meet at the nearest McDonalds, so un-romantic...
-
4% body fat won't do...I like men who have some padding, easier to snuggle with...
-
Snuggling up on a couch would be oh, so much More romantic ....
-
Well, it does pertain to "it's whats inside that counts"
-
...all the twin-mixup movies....
...aren't those your 'fave' ?
-
Oh Dargo, You are just too funnie'..I am laughing tears :^0
and, no, it is not about "the colon and the gallbladder" :^0

..if she really likes you, she won't give a damn what you show her..
...that is so true, it is the person you are with that counts, Not the movie...

Sylvia Sydney starred in CITY STREETS, the 2nd movie she ever made and she was fantastic in it.
It is difficult to say if Lana or Rita would have fit the bill but, anyone would have been better then Mary Astor, she may have been a great actress but had no chemistry.
