Lon Chaney Jr co-starred in the 'FIRST EVER' American-Canadian Television Production back in '57 as Chingachgook in 'Hawkeye and the Last of the Mohicans', (Shock Theater). William Boyd

It did not make sense to change it as it was a 'no-brainer' that he would die after so many shots at close range. I think it made a mockery of what otherwise would have been a fantastic movie ! It would have been better to have the audiance believe that he died then to insult their intelligence otherwise.... Twink

I thought Mature died in the end ! Did I miss something?...after all, he was shot several times, assumed he died ! WHERE THE SIDEWALK ENDS is much more suspenseful and intrrguing so far... Twink
