  1. Dennis Hoey ?

Just wanted to add an interesting tid bit !

Lon Chaney Jr co-starred in the 'FIRST EVER' American-Canadian Television Production back in '57 as Chingachgook in 'Hawkeye and the Last of the Mohicans', (Shock Theater).

This series was filmed in Pickering, Ontario (outside of Toronto) through CBC.

  2.

It did not make sense to change it as it was a 'no-brainer' that he would die after so many shots at close range. I think it made a mockery of what otherwise would have been a fantastic movie !

It would have been better to have the audiance believe that he died then to insult their intelligence otherwise....

  3. I thought Mature died in the end ! Did I miss something?...after all, he was shot several times, assumed he died !

WHERE THE SIDEWALK ENDS is much more suspenseful and intrrguing so far...

  4. Miles, I'm not sure how far Guelph, Ontario is from here...I live in Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake, (near the Falls), Ontario. :)

PS ... N.O.T.L. is home to the world renowned Shaw Festival Theatre. Perhaps you have heard of it.

I live within walking distance of it.

  7. You mean at the start of the movie, where he is standing in front of large windows talking when Cotten walks up to Wilding and they both walk out of the bank ?

It is when they both walk out of the bank that I see a definite 'break' in the movie.
