  1. I remember 'the gunfighter' with gregory peck and "revenge of the gunfighter" with Robert taylor. Then In the late 60's as a little kid, I got spoiled by the leone/eastwood italian westerns!
  2. thanx Mongo, when I saw the end credits that Gig young was playing Gig young, I thought it was weird for a movie in the 30's. But thanx for clearing it up! (smile)
  3. oh, I was also John travolta as tony manero in saturday night fever, when I was a little bit older! (lol)
  4. YES!!! I was clint eastwood as the man with no name, in the sergio leone westerns...which was real funny cause I was a little chubby jewish 8 year old kid!
  5. the other morning I was watching 'the gay sisters' in which fine actor Gig young had a supporting role playing a character named....GIG YOUNG!!! Does anybody know anything about this? It kinda freaked me out!

Here are just some movies I remember bawling at: The Champ (1979 remake) Powder Running (1980 with Michael Douglas) Ordinary people the morning after (tv movie with dick van dyke) of mice and men (burgess meredith & lon chaney jr) Blossoms in the dust (greer garson) Boys Town Imitation of life (remake) Limelight (& the great dictator) PS: if I think of any more I will post
  7. These are the top flix I'd have... 1. Kings row 2. blossoms in the dust 3. the champ (79 remake) 4. any and all Henry Fonda movies PS: okay, too many to fit here (or on the boat). LOL
  8. Does anyone else remember "Backdoor to Heaven" with Wallace Ford and a young Van Heflin? I remember it being a great and touching old flick, that I'd love to see again. I haven't seen it since I was a kid in the 80's, on the late late show (before cable)
