I'm trying to find the title of an obscure British film with Ralph Richardson and possibly Dennis Price. The story involves a love triangle in which Richardson plays the husband. There are two alternate storylines in the film, one a romanticized fantasy of events (possibly based on a novel one of the characters is writing?) and the other, the same events in the unromantic everyday world. There is a climactic scene that takes place at a village festival. I'm afraid that's all I recall. Can anyone identify this film?
