Years ago I watched the end of a old movie about a not so pretty teenage girl with braces and she is befriended by a woman who takes the girl to a soda shop for a milk shake...the girl is thrilled to be talking to this woman named "Christine?" the girl calls her dad whom I do not think she sees that often...the girl is living in some sort of instiute or maybe the woman is? and she is there for emotional get a way.... the woman has feelings for this girls dad. Please help me with what this movie is...I was thinking it was Bette Davis...or maybe Barbara Steinwick?
