  1. Well, I do have a 'few' (more than) Christmas favorites that must watch each year (or it isn't Christmas without them)...

I love three versions of Dicken's classic story. The #1 would probably be Alistair Sim's 1951 version *"Scrooge"*. But at a close second is Reginald Owen's 1938 *"A Christmas Carol"*. Last, but not least, I have grown to love George C. Scott's *"A Christmas Carol"*. At first, I wasn't too keen on it, simply because it isn't a 'classic' film. But, over the last few years, I realize Scott plays a superb E. Scrooge, and I even purchased the DVD this season.

Now, the others (in no particular order)...

    *"It's A Wonderful Life"*

    *"White Christmas"*

*"How The Grinch Stole Christmas"* -Note: As a child, up to an adult, I always LOVED the cartoon; so much so that, I refused for a while to see the Jim Carrey version. When I did finally get 'round to seeing it, I also fell in love. Is there ANYTHING that man cannot DO?!! So, for fairness, I'm including both versions in this.

Of course, there's always *"The Bishop's Wife"*..That's a wonderful, feel-good story (love when the professor keeps looking at his brandy glass and shaking his head). And, man and women alike, who can't resist Carey Grant?

And, altough many wouldn't consider it a Christmas movie per se (although *I* do), I love love, love the screen adaptations of Alcott's *"Little Women"*; (both the one done in '32(?), and the one done in the mid '40's). I always watch either, or both, versions around the Holidays.

Well, I THINK that's it....sorry to make this post so long. Probably nobody will read it, but, oh well....

Happy Holidays to everyone at the TCM community!!
