That's quite to leap to conclude that. Doncha think?

I wonder how Richard Burton got under that parking lot.

Oh, no problem. I thought for a minute someone was talking about King George. LOL
-
Who is George? I'm really confused.

I found this when I did a google search,
It's an old term for Britain from the British Raj (Empire). Blighty derives from Hindustani meaning foreign.
I hope to get to Stratford-upon-Avon this summer.

I think there is a plan at work. :^0

I wonder if Honoré Lachaille would say, Je suis fatigué aussi.

Because they had the chops for good acting.

I'm glad we were spared that sight.

> {quote:title=Hibi wrote:}{quote}How did the English get to be called Limeys? Was it due to using limes in their drinks or what? I dont think it was a favorable term as I remember my grandfather (who was German) when I was little calling them Slimey Limeys! (probably sour grapes from losing 2 wars..........)
The British sailors ate a lot of limes to prevent scurvy (18th and 19th centuries). Limey implies lime-eaters.

Has anyone discussed Prince of Foxes (1949) on the thread? If not, here's some food for thought.

In the late 1970s, Colts owner Robert Irsay refused to sign a long term lease with the city of Baltimore. The signing was to give him $23 million in funds for improvement to an antiquated Memorial Stadium. He then began shopping the Colts to Indianapolis and Phoenix on the sly.
He had already decided to move the franchise when the Maryland legistature gave the city of Baltimore the right to seize ownership by emiment domain. That only forced Irsay to do what he had planned already.

The abolition of slavery started the USA on its way to achieving greatness. I like them tradtional values. Ram trucks=traditional values. Doesn't add up.

Too bad Beyonce's songs were awful. I'm sure most were too mesmerized by the writhing on the floor show to notice the poor sound and lackluster singing.
Alicia Keys, now that's a talented musician.

Since they have verified that they did find Richard III ...

I know about the Stratford Festival in Ont. and also about Stratford-upon-Avon in old Blighty. I just didn't feel like posting anything at that time.
Then you made the second post. I commented then. A previous poste to you said I hoped to see Stratford-upon-Avon this year and I explained old Blighty.
