  1. Man Of Steel Image Reveals That Lois Lane Is An Apple Fan Watch A Haunted House Online The star found himself being overweight, balding and stuck in a loveless marriage raising a kid that isn't his. But the director's new movie, The Place Beyond The Pines, is a much different kind of film than Blue Valentine and all you need to do is look at Gosling's bleach blonde hair, motorcycle and tear-drop tattoo to tell the difference. And unsurprisingly those aesthetic details are front and center in the picture's new poster. With The Place Beyond The Pines set to get a limited release at the end of March, Focus Features has released some new artwork for the movie, and while it's a tad bit generic, it's certainly better than the one that was posted at the end of last year, which completely lacked anything even remotely interesting. At least this one has a cool bike in it! Check out the poster below and click on it to see it full size in our database. Watch Breaking Dawn Part 2 Online Described as a story of fathers and sons, sins of the past, and motorcycles and guns, The Place Beyond The Pines stars Gosling as Luke, a stunt rider who turns to robbing banks so that he can provide a good life for his newborn son. Unfortunately his crimes put him on a collison course with Avery Cross (Bradley Cooper) and ambitious cop-turned-politician. The film premiered at last year's Toronto International Film Festival and will be in theaters on March 29th. Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne, Dane DeHaan, Ray Liotta, Ben Mendelsohn and Bruce Greenwood co-star in the movie. We are now less than a month away from the Academy Awards and still some of the best film's of last year continue to duke it out and fight for the most recognition. As the various critics groups and guilds have handed out their awards there has been little consistency, with movies like Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, Ben Affleck's Argo, Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty and David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook all earning recognition and taking home hardware. Watch Hansel and Gretel Online Unlike previous years where one or two titles would dominate the field, there's been a refreshing amount of diversity and variety in the 2012 crop. And the winners of this years' Screen Actors Guild Awards illustrate that beautifully. The actor's award show was held tonight at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center to award the greatest performances in movies in television, and while Lincoln might have snuck away with two wins on the night, the show spread the love around quite nicely, with big wins for Argo, Silver Linings Playbook and Les Miserables as well. Check out the full list of winners below: While none of these could qualify as "upsets," it will be interesting to see how these wins will affect the Oscar landscape. What does Jennifer Lawrence's win here mean for Jessica Chastain's odds come time for the Oscars? Christoph Waltz won the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe for his turn in Django Unchained, but does this mean that Tommy Lee Jones is now the frontrunner in the category? The speculation continues! Watch Movie 43 Online The last time that James Franco was in a Sam Raimi film he was riding a hover-snowboard and wearing body armor while trying his hardest to avenge his father's death and murder Spider-Man. This March, however, he reunites with Raimi wearing a much different costume and is ready to cast a spell over the Land of Oz. In Oz The Great and Powerful, Oscar Diggs is a small-time magician and swindler who magically arrives in the land of Oz when he is chased out of town and his balloon is swept into a tornado. He uses his skills as a performer to convince the people in his new land that he's actually a great wizard and finds himself living the highlife - that is until the three witch sisters, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora and Glinda, find out about him and cast doubt on his story. For more about the movie, which also stars Zach Braff and Joey King, Watch Hansel And Gretel Online On Thursday Walt Disney Studios unveiled the latest character poster for the upcoming Oz The Great and Powerful featuring Rachel Weisz as the witch Evanora, but now it's the star of the show's turn to show his mug for a solo print. The official Facebook page for the movie comes with the caption, "Meet Oscar Diggs: A small-time magician, with questionable ethics, who has to choose between being a good man and a great one." Check out the new arwork below and click on it to go high-res. In the movie Oscar Diggs is a small-time magician and con-arist who finds himself run out of town . Trying to escape by balloon, he gets sucked into a twister and before long discovers that he has traveled to the Land of Oz. Using his skills as a magician he fools the populace into thinking that he is a great Wizard, but the three witches Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams) question his story. Oz The Great and Powerful will be in theaters March 8th and to watch trailers, and see more posters as well as a full gallery of stills be sure to head over. Watch The Hobbit Online It's unlikely that Sam Raimi's upcoming Oz The Great and Powerful will feature characters like Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman or the Cowardly Lion, but that doesn't mean that the film will be short on things you recognize. The main character, Oscar (James Franco), presumably goes on to become the titular figure in The Wizard of Oz, while the new movie's trailers have given us a glimpse at both flying monkeys and the Wicked Witch of the West. But if you're going to have the wicked witch you need the good witch to balance her out - and that's where Michelle Williams comes in. Disney has been unveiling a string of character posters for Oz The Great and Powerful and today delivers a brand new one. All the way back in December the campaign was kicked off with artwork featuring the aforementioned Wicked one, while yesterday revealed Rachel Weisz's Evanora, and late last night we found Franco as Oscar. Today the movie's official Facebook page has unveiled one for Glinda, who is described as "Benevolent, compassionate, and above all -- good." Check it out below and click the image to see it in its highest resolution. O Brother, Where Art Thou?’s Tim Blake Nelson is pretty familiar with actors stepping behind the camera. He’s gone behind the lens on several occasions himself, most notably for 2010’s wonderful Leaves Of Grass, and now, he’s signed up to help two of his fellow actors work on their own directorial projects. The first of the two films is being directed by James Franco, and it is entitled Bukowski. It’ll follow the title author/ post office employee/ drunk/ madman, Charles Bukowski, through his traumatic childhood and high school years. Nelson will play the writer’s abusive father who continually gets into physical altercations with his son. The second of the two films comes from Tommy Lee Jones, and it’s entitled Homesman. The current Oscar nominee will direct from a script he co-wrote. The action centers around a shady character and a cheap school teacher who concoct a scheme to transport three women over the Western plains in an ox-drawn wagon. Nelson will play a thief looking to pilfer one of the females, which is a key way in which the script seems to separate itself from the beloved children’s game Oregon Trail.
  2. Bradley Cooper Could Heat Up The Kitchen In Weinstein's Chef Watch Bullet To The Head Online They're not revealing what song Streisand will sing, so it's unlikely she's stepping in for someone else's nominated song-- though it is weird that we haven't gotten confirmation that Scarlett Johansson will step up to perform the nominated "Before My Time" from Chasing Ice. Instead I'd pick Streisand to sing over the the In Memoriam sequence, or one of the many montages that the Oscars are famous/dreaded for. Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are only revealing that "she has agreed to do a very special performance on this year's Oscars." Any time Streisand takes the stage in front of a Hollywood crowd that adores her pretty much guarantees it will be special, and now we get to take particular glee in the stand-off between her and Adele. Who will be the bigger diva? Who will throw the mightiest death glares? It's all so exciting! Watch MAMA Online If you need a reminder of what it's like to see Streisand perform at the Oscars, here's a clip of her 1977 performance of "Evergreen" (fast-forward about a minute and a half to get there). We’ve had a Great Muppet Caper and Muppets In Space. The Muppets even took Manhattan in an entertaining sequel. But it sounds like the follow-up to 2011’s The Muppets will be going with a basic, obvious title that still works: The Muppets … Again! EW.com has the scoop on the sequel, as well as a first-look photo of the cotton-stuffed cast and an interview with Muppets leader Kermit the Frog. Here’s the pic, followed by choice quotes from Mr. The Frog below: As the site notes, the sequel is being filmed in London at the moment, and will co-star Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Modern Family standout Ty Burrell. Kermit – or whomever loaned Kermit his voice – says that the sequel finds the Muppets “on this global tour, and we’re selling out these grand theaters all over Europe—in Berlin, Madrid, London—but we sort of get into a little bit of trouble when we run across my doppleganger. Watch Stand Up Guys Online He’s the world’s number one criminal, Constantine, and he happens to look an awful lot like me. I won’t tell you any more than that, but let’s just say mayhem ensues.”Gervais reportedly plays Constantine in the film, which likely will find room for several celebrity cameos (like Rashida Jones, John Krasinski, Alan Arkin and Ken Jeong from the latest movie). Oddly enough, Jason Segal and Amy Adams are absent from the sequel, so the story will rest completely on the Muppets … which is fine. But I do see Walter, Segal’s Muppet brother, over Kermit’s shoulder in the above picture, so it sounds like he’ll be back for more adventure and comedy. The 2011 Muppet movie banked $158 million worldwide, more than enough to greenlight a sequel. The Muppets … Again! is aiming for a March 21, 2014 release. Watch Breaking Dawn Part 2 Online We've long since realized that Amy Adams won't be ditching her signature red hair to play famous brunette Lois Lane in Man of Steel, but that's just about all we do know about the character. She's appeared briefly in the film's trailers, but most of the marketing has, intuitively, focused on Clark Kent or Superman. If Lois Lane is playing an unusually big role in this one, they're keeping it under wraps for now. In fact, the reveal of Lois Lane is apparently so minor that Warner Bros. has handed the honors off to the Spanish site Desde Hollywood (via Bleeding Cool), which posted the image in black and white for no apparent reason (are there black and white flashback sequences in the film? Probably not). Either way, you can see it below: Watch Hansel And Gretel Online The iPad in her hand, combined with that 70s/80s throwback style of the collar and vest, makes for a pretty clear signal that this will be a very, very modern Superman, or at least a very modern Daily Planet office. That could mean for a lot of unnecessary jokes about the paper suffering cutbacks or needing to fire dead weight like Jimmy Olsen, but it could also be a refreshing spin on the character, deliberately getting away from all the glossy reverence that Bryan Singer's Superman Returns got caught up in. You know that if another image emerges of Superman using an iPad, all the rival tablet makers are just gonna get furious. When it comes right down to it, who can honestly say that they wouldn't be interested in making a movie about Han Solo? In addition to being one badass son of a ***** who will shoot you before you have a chance to shoot him (screw you, Greedo!), he also happens to fly the coolest ship in the galaxy - The Millennium Falcon - and has the coolest, furriest best friend in the world in Chewbacca. Who wouldn't want to tell a story about a character like that? Robert Rodriguez certainly would. Watch Django Unchained Online MTV had the chance speak with the Sin City filmmaker during the Sundance Film Festival last week, and when the subject turned to Star Wars Rodriguez began to talk about what he would love to see come out of the new deal between Lucasfilm and Disney - most notably some spin-off movies separate from the upcoming Episodes VII, VIII and IX. Asked for his thoughts about the upcoming movies, Rodriguez expressed enthusiasm regarding the possibility of off-shoot movies that would center on smaller sectors of the Star Wars universe and some of its more interesting characters. "There's so much you can do," he told the site. "George [Lucas] has built such an enormous world that just to be waiting now again, who's going to live up that? It's almost like they should just branch it out, and let people play with those characters. There's such rich stuff." But while Rodriguez said he would definitely accept an offer to make a Han Solo movie, he wouldn't necessarily be interested in telling a different story set in the Star Wars universe. Responding to a question regarding his own interests in the series, the writer/director instead pointed to the origins of the franchise to explain why he would rather stick to his own original films. Said the filmmaker, It depends on what it was. George really inspired me to do what I'm doing now, which is the same thing he did. He originally wanted and couldn't get the rights to Flash Gordon. He tried, couldn't get it, so he went and wrote Star Wars, which was his complete take on Flash Gordon, even to the opening titles crawl that went that way.... I think if I asked [Lucas] for advice, he would say 'Go make your own "Star Wars" universe, kid.' " The reason it's funny that Rodriguez would be interested in making a Han Solo movie is because Wes Anderson actually pitched the idea earlier this month, saying that he could probably manage an origin story short about the famed smuggler. Now I just want to see both of them try it and compare the results. The last time that Ryan Gosling and director Derek Cianfrance teamed up.
  3. Tim Blake Nelson Will Steal A Woman And Raise Charles Bukowski In Upcoming Movies Watch Warm Bodies Online O Brother, Where Art Thou?’s Tim Blake Nelson is pretty familiar with actors stepping behind the camera. Nelson will play a thief looking to pilfer one of the females, which is a key way in which the script seems to separate itself from the beloved children’s game Oregon Trail. Nelson has served as a ringer in many a movie. The noted character actor has a way of swooping in and stealing scenes, and if these two directors are lucky, he’ll deliver exactly on that reputation. Both efforts are set to shoot in the next few months. Neither has a release date yet, but given the time frame, they likely won’t be out until very late 2013, or more likely, early in 2014. Until then, try not to die of dysentery. Watch The Haunting in Connecticut 2 Online Even when they're copies of things that exist in perfectly regular form out there on the Internet, there's something inherently charming about "sweded" versions of movies or even trailers. The term comes from Michel Gondry's Be Kind Rewind and has inevitably become bigger than the movie itself, as all kinds of fans take it upon themselves to reshoot a movie or a trailer with just the objects they have at homes and their friends, who might get talked into wearing weird wigs or putting on ridiculous accents to "fit" the roles. Watch PARKER Online So while we wait to see anything new from Star Trek Into Darkness, check out this sweded version of the full-length trailer, which includes a guy in thick eyebrows and a blond wig to become Chris Pine, a patio door doubling as the glass lockdown that holds Benedict Cumberbatch's character, and lots of other great homemade details. The a cappella version of the trailer music is actually pretty impressive, though it only serves to highlight just how much it sounds like the Inception "Braaaannnnghh" sound. If you want to see just how closely this trailer sticks to what we saw in the official one, the group also posted a side-by-side comparison-- marvel at how well they mimic Abrams's signature lens flares! But don't give them too hard a time for not nailing the shot of the Enterprise rising up from the water. There's really only so much you can do with a cardboard starship. Watch Hansel and Gretel Online This is what happens when you’re a red-hot Oscar nominee: All of a sudden, your name gets attached to every project under the sun, raising hope for your fans but creating a scheduling nightmare for your handlers. Watch The Hobbit Online Bradley Cooper, who’s still enjoying his recent Best Actor nomination for his insightful work in David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook, currently is in negotiations to star in Chef, Variety reports. That is the working title for a culinary comedy that will be backed by The Weinstein Company. As a result, Cooper’s name is being associated with possible Chef co-star Omar Sy, who co-starred in the French crowd pleaser The Intouchables (which also was picked up and distributed in the U.S. by Weinstein). Chef also would reunite Cooper with Derek Cianfrance, his The Place Beyond the Pines director who has been hired to helm this comedy. Cooper would play a disgraced chef who must rebound after losing his top-rated Parisian restaurant. He attempts to open the most-popular eatery in London, probably with disastrous results. The actor reportedly told the French radio station RTL: "We've been talking about this project. I want to do it. It's a beautiful story. And I love cooking. … [but] I'm going to make another film in March and after that I think I'm going to take a break and stay in Paris for Roland Garros (the tennis tournament set in late May)."So it’s unclear when Chef would film, if Cooper agrees to do it at all. As we reported, he’s currently circling The Man from Primrose Lane, possibly talking about playing Lance Armstrong, possibly romancing Emma Stone in Cameron Crowe’s next movie, and has a final Hangover movie to promote. You think you’re busy? I think Chef sounds like fun, and Cooper likely would be great, but something on his schedule is going to have to give. We’ll see what happens. It still seems safe to assume that Adele will completely dominate the Oscars broadcast with her first-ever live performance of "Skyfall," but now she's actually got some competition for that spotlight. The Academy has announced that Barbra Streisand will also be performing, taking the Oscars stage for the first time since 1977, when she performed and won Best Original Song for the love theme from A Star Is Born.
