How did the rumor get started that many of the cast members, including Humphrey Bogart, from the "Maltese Falcon" (1941) appear as extras the Bette Davis/Olivia de Havilland/George Brent/Dennis Morgan film "In This Our Life" (1942)? Was it just a rumor started by Warner Bros. publicity dept. to drum up interest? or were the MF cast members actually filmed as extras, only to end up on the cutting room floor during the editing of the film? I've watched "In This Our LIfe" several times and do not see anyone in the movie who is also in MF, except Walter Huston.
