I appreciate the answer but in this case it may not apply. No settings on either of my television were changed and I don't have digital cable--just basic which plugs directly into the TV's--so I figured the problem has to be "outside the house" so to speak. What's baffling is the AD doesn't appear on any other channels nor on any other program on TCM--just the movies. I suppose my next step will be to contact my cable provider and see if it's a problem on their end but watching Key Largo the other night I found the AD to be very annoying especially on a movie I know so well.

Why do all the movies suddenly have audio description for the blind. Nothing has changed on either of my televisions but suddenlky every movie has annoying descriptions of the action. I would like to know why and/or how I can get rid of it. I don't know if it's TCM, or my cable company, phonoscope but I know it's not my trelevisions.
