  1. Thank you so much, "Ignore member!" "The Man Who Could Work Miracles," the film, whose name I could not recall and a film I pestered all about and couldn't find. Now I know I am not crazy and I did see this film. It has had a profound effect and me and has partially affected my life. Thanks again! I should have come here years ago!
  2. Help! I am positive I saw this movie but I am pretty sure I was younger than 10, saw it once and now I am 66 years old. OK, here's the premise and first I should tell you I have looked everywhere but have found some people who sense they saw it too. British, black and white, I'd say late 30s into the 40s. Gods in heaven discuss mankind and the argument is what would a mortal do if given invincible powers! We see a man walking into a pub in the nightime. I thought the actor was Leo G. Carroll since I was watching Topper on TV around the same time. OK, so just before the fellow walks into the bar we see a giant hand come out of the heavens and point at his boller and there's a smalll presto-flash and the subject has no idea he was just struck! So after some small talke the barkeep says it's time for closing. The actor says he is still thirsty for another brew and wishes it was 9 pm rather than 11 pm. Next thing you know all the clocks in England change including the one in the pub and the reaction amongst the bartender and another patron is that they thought it was later. In a short period of time the protagonists starts to get his every wish, instantly and magically. Of course with such a plot one can only go so far and he winds up getting in all kinds of Dutch with his new found unlimited powers. I remember the ending hims asking for his last wish that his powers be taken away! That's what I remember. I am sure I saw it yet it has a profound impact on me all my life and I have searched IMDB and many actors and can not find. This film helped to develope my writing career. Has anyone out there seen this film or know the name and actors? I am Lou Christine, vipsam@gmail.com/ I live deep in Mexico. Aloha Lou Christine
