You earned an A+ on that one, Miles. I had a feeling you would know it was "Blue Moon," but you really filled in all the missing blanks and then some. Well done, and it's your thread.

Thanks for the clip, Miles. It was certainly enjoyable. I'm not sure, but I don't think I have ever seen Lyda Roberti in anything but Million Dollar Legs.
I think this next one will be easy, although it's a little bit lengthy to read through:
What Rodgers & Hart standard was (1) written for a movie, but not used; (2) given a new set of lyrics and title to become the title song of another movie and then rejected again; (3) given a third set of lyrics and new title and actually got sung in the above mentioned movie; (4) and finally, with yet another title change and new lyrics became the theme of a radio show and went on to be recorded by many singers through the years?
Extra points for filling in any of the other details above.

Hint: Up to this point, the male star of this movie had appeared mostly in light comedies and was given this role by his studio as punishment for something or other. Instead he made the most of the opportunity to play against type and was nominated for an Academy Award.

Not much to go one, but that's all I needed. Not only do I have the recording of Lyda Roberti singing this song from College Rhythm (1934), but I once sang it myself in a cabaret show.
