Well since I am not getting any responses perhaps I am little off
Does anyone know of any black & white slapstick films that involves a bar fight between business men & sailors?

I have been looking for a film that I watched years ago with my grandpa. Unfortunately being so long ago I only remember certain scene.
Again, I can only rememeber one scene but I will give as much details about it
Anyway, I do know it was a black & white comedy like film, I am guessing in the 40s. It was in a city setting. The only scene I remember is a bar brawl at the end of the film. It was kinda of a slap stick.
Certain things I rememeber about that scene is main character is with his girl at the bar while business men are conducting a questionable deal. A bar fight breaks out which ends up being between businessmen and sailors.Another detail I remember that may stick out near the end one of the girls in the bar picks up a puppy and another lady demands her to hand it over, ending with the bossy girl being knocked out. Another part, when the police show up, one of the business men pulls out a gun trying to escape, but the main character who is dazed from brawl stumbles on top of him, and ends up subduing the guy. .

Not too old, I guessed in the 40s thinking of the three stooges ere
