I'm fortunate enough to live in Toronto where we have our very own annual silent film festival. Last Saturday featured a screening of The Crowd. I was over the moon about this, as it's a powerful film that's really hard to see. But it didn't prompt me to wonder - what's wrong with King Vidor? It feels, at least, like he gets little attention. Certainly he doesn't get as much as the big boys. What's up with that? Why is Vidor somewhat neglected? Thoughts?
