  1. (very vague memory). Some man kills somebody. He wants to get on a boat (ferry?) to go across the English Channel. There's something about someone helping him and getting a fake passport with a fake name. In the end he gets a ride in a lorrey (sp) driven by a woman (I think) and is killed before getting on the boat. That's all. Anybody know this? Thanks! The lorrey (sp, truck) is an army type to carry soldiers with and has the tarp covering. I think there might be some other trucks as well that look like old milk delivery trucks (lorreys,sp). And of course the cop cars chasing them.

    Not any of the following:

    *Odd Man Out*

    *They Made Me a Fugitive*

    *Tiger Bay*

    *Murder Most Foul*

    *The Early Bird*

    *British Intelligence*

Hi Runner, just glanced at your movie query. Lorry is how it's spelled. I did a prelim-search for you and found 39 titles with keyword: lorry. Here's the link:

imdb.com/keyword/lorry/?sort=release_date Of course this is only good if someone added lorry to the keywords of your movie. Good luck.

I would need to see *{color:blue}Odd Man Out* to make sure, but 1947 seems too old plus I'm sure mine was in England and involved a boat going across the English Channel, but the guy never made it. Unfortunately none of the movies on that list seemed to be it. I'm guessing it's between 1955 and 65. Thanks!

Have you seen it? Does it include getting a false passport and taking a ferry across the English Channel? Does the main guy end-up in a lorry as I described? Are their milk delivery lorries? Was it on TCM within the last seven months?

It's not *{color:blue}Odd Man Out*. In my movie the main character murders someone in their apartment/condo. Plus I checked the small screens with the main screen that YouTube has and there's nothing with lorries and a chase.

TCM.com has a search engine and you can find a lot of their films but I don't remember how extensive their DB is.

I don't remember any kids, only adults. Don't forget it starts with the main character committing a murder in someone's apartment/condo near the beginning of the film. The victim is also an adult man. It ends as I described in a previous post or the OP.

    *UPDATED* Tue Aug 14 2012 10:48:21

Had a look using "milk float" - that's what we call them here.

Not great, but 'Murder Most Foul' (1964) comes up [imdb.com/title/tt0058383|http://imdb.com/title/tt0058383] - it's a Miss Marple flick. Not a great fit but you could check it out - see this link for better pics: [imcdb.org/movie_58383-Murder-Most-Foul.html|http://imcdb.org/movie_58383-Murder-Most-Foul.html]

The only others I found any reference for were the 70's TV series: 'The Protectors' and 'The Professionals' but these are, of course, in colour.

And well, the other one was 'The Early Bird' (1965) [imdb.com/title/tt0059143|http://imdb.com/title/tt0059143]. It's a Norman Wisdom film...hide.gif You could watch it anyway?!

And here's pics of milk floats in movies, so it says...[oobject.com/category/typology-of-milk-floats|http://oobject.com/category/typology-of-milk-floats]

Thanks for asking! It's England to France. He never makes it to the ferry so therefore he never makes it to France. (Although I could be wrong about France and a ferry and it well could be America and a full-size ship, I just think it's the English Channel and a ferry). Also don't get hung-up on the milk floats (as they're called in Britain) they may have been in only one brief scene. The truck he's escaping in with his wife/girlfriend (a blonde) driving is one of those army's trucks with a canopy on top and canopy doors in back that carries twenty (or so) soldiers. The ones you see in countless shows and movies being stopped and inspected by the border patrol of nations they're going into. It ends with the truck crashing (I believe) while the police in their cars are chasing them . Also it starts out with the guy killing another guy and his apartment/condo. That's why he has to escape and get out of the country.
