TCM should do a tribute to Visconti and include THE INNOCENT. -

It's not Danielle DeMetz is it? -

I'm with you. I like both the movie TITANIC as well as James Horner's score. Take that, haters. -
Tcm viewers clamoring for Hot Spell?

Maybe someone at TCM's programming department will read this thread and provide the answer. -
Here's a clip of Gloria Swanson performing one of the songs from the proposed musical adaptation. Her singing voice is good but the song itself is certainly no "With One Look" or "As If We Never Said Goodbye."

Is RASCAL not a TCM premiere?

SWEET CHARITY was shown recently as part of the Friday Night Spotlight on roadshow musicals, but I hope it is shown again soon.

I'm grateful to Nick At Nite and TVLand for introducing me to some great shows, but, yes, they cut out a lot to allow for more commercials.

I just learned that Tor Johnson appeared as "Strong Man" on an episode of the TV series SHIRLEY TEMPLE'S STORYBOOK.

I know it's popular to hate on TITANIC, but I love James Horner's score for that movie. -
Don't forget this 1970s hairstyle which is kind of a combination shag and mullet with a flip.

I'm happy to see that THE GREAT LOCOMOTIVE CHASE is now noted on the schedule as being in "widescreen." When the July schedule first appeared, there was no such notation, which was troubling since the movie was shot in CinemaScope. I was fearing another "Pan-and-Scan." -
Yes, there are definitely stylistic similarities. Here's "The Big Bang Theory" by Barenaked Ladies. (I also like the TV show.)

Thanks for posting this! I recommend THE AVIATOR, which features Leonardo DiCaprio as Howard Hughes.

Generally I agree with your statement. Here's an example of what I think is an exception: "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" from Panic! At The Disco http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0FI7prMDzA The song has good lyrics, a great melody and a wonderfully enigmatic title.

At point in the early 2000s Rob Marshall was going to direct MAME for television with Cher in the lead, but the project ultimately fell through.

Yeah, I agree that the design with Elizabeth Montgomery on a broom with the crescent moon in the background in clever, but the representation of her face is not very flattering.

YOUNG BESS is an entertaining movie. Charles Laughton reprises the role of Henry VIII (which he'd played 20 years earlier in THE PRIVATE LIFE OF HENRY VIII). -
That's still on, right?

Wow, this thread is a blast from the past. Where's the post-1950 version?
