  1. Glad to report that somehow Charter Communications got it working again. Opened a trouble ticket and then magically 4 days later it started working again. No fix action given. I am happy it is now working and my wife is even happier. I still wish that TCM could have helped more with the troubleshooting.
  2. PS. If you would like, I can send you my IP and Charter Communications password. Would that help?
  3. Dear Mod1: Many thanks for the offer to help. Been using it fine for the last 3 months and all of a sudden today (Saturday) I am getting "Unable to play this video. User not authorized Error - <notAuthorized/>. Using iPad. I can log in fine using my Charter username and password. Trying to watch at my home away from home. So I am not actually in my house. In a hotel room. But it has worked great for 3 months.
  4. For the record, the technical support for the TCM application is non-existent. Seriously.... If your Watch TCM app does not work, who do you call or email? I have posted in this forum and emailed the application owners via this site and I get nothing. Your other options is leave a voicemail. What kind of support it that? Granted, the "Watch TCM" application is a small part of the whole TCM package that I get through Charter Communications but for my wife and I who travel all the time it is the only way we can watch TCM. I would gladly pay $20 a month for the service (as a mobil
  5. 31 views and not one person can help me out? Does anybody use TCM on an iPad or other mobile device and watch while away from their home network? I'm not looking for a thesis on what might be wrong. Just a plain old "working fine for me Stu" would be fine. As an aside, tech support for TCM is non existent. Other than my cable provider, who can you call for help? Does the TCM staff ever monitor this site and jump in when people need help?
  6. Hey all: Is the TCM mobile app still working? Been using it fine for the last 3 months and all of a sudden today (Saturday) I am getting "Unable to play this video. User not authorized Error - <notAuthorized/>. I can log in fine using my Charter username and password. Trying to watch at my home away from home. So I am not actually in my house. In a hotel room. But it has worked great for 3 months. Anyone else having trouble today?
  7. lzcutter and others....appreciate your help but I don't think you understand my question...... The TCM app works fine on my iPad mini. The issue is that I can't get my ipad mini to display TCM on a TV when I am away from home in a hotel. My ipad has no problem displaying iTunes or Netflix on the hotel TV using an HDMI cable. It is just TCM that will not display. Does anyone here use an iPad (regular or mini) to watch TCM? I just want to know if it is a problem with my ipad or is it the way the TCM app is designed? Maybe the TCM application designer do not want you to be able to display
  8. I have an HDMI cable and AV adapter.....got that.... and it works fine with Netflix application. My question is I wonder if somehow the TCM application was written so that they intentionally won't let it work. Surely someone here has an Ipad that they use to connect to their TV via HDMI and can test this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-bandwidth_Digital_Content_Protection Is it an HDCP issue?
  9. anyone? Throw me bone here.... can someone with an iPad try and connect it to their tv at home via HDMI and tell me if they can watch movies via iPad. Would take 30 seconds to test....

  11. Finally got my TCM app working on my iPad mini. When I connect my my iPad to my big screen TV via HDMI it won't display on the TV. NetFlix, Hulu etc work fine so I don't think the problem is with a setting in the iPad itself. Wondering if TCM has configured the app so that it will not allow users to display TCM movies on users TVs. Anyone else having this problem or have any thoughts? Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated. TIA Stu
  12. that is the issue!!!! Charter is listed on the TCM app. But when I go to the Charter website it does not list TCM as being available as a mobile app. Do you understand what I am asking?
  13. currently outside the USA this month. I do see that on the TCM FAQ it is only for US located users. So I used my Strong VPN client and still no luck. The VPN normally works find for things like Hulu and Pandora (you have to be in the USA for those service). Surely the hive-mind will save me
  14. ARGGHHHHH Can someone please help me get TCM on my iPad so I can watch when out of the house (ie traveling). I have the app but cannot log in with my Charter username and password. In fact, I am not sure that TCM is even available to mobile Charter customers. On the Charter website it does not list TCM as one of the 24 available channels. Is anyone here a Charter customer (Atlanta) getting TCM on their mobile device? Please help. I NEED TCM.
