  1. I think I am best known, in some circles, for a guest appearance on a 60s TV series. It wasn't a western.
  2. John Wayne's acceptance speech-- absolutely! Cary Grant's lifetime achievement Oscar presented by Frank is another one that makes me swim. Pretty much most of the acceptance speeches of those not with us anymore are good candidates. Duke and Henry Fonda's last appearances are downright sobbing material. I did say that I am becoming a sentimental old cuss. I have been there for quite some time actually.
  3. No, but good guess. Woody did play on the same CFL team as I did, but we were never teammates. Plus, to most, I think I was less recognizable than Woody (in more ways than one, I guess). Edited by: tommyphils31 on Dec 22, 2013 3:13 PM
  4. Jack Lemmon in Save the Tiger? I don't remember seeing it on TCM though.
  5. Wow lavender, that was an absolute guess on my part. I simply threw it out there. The brain, or in my case air displacement, works in mysterious ways sometimes. Anyway, thanks for the update on Bud! Although I never came close to being a lead actor in anything, I enjoyed steady and I must say, busy work in both movies and television throughout my lengthy career. I played heavies a lot, especially in westerns where I got to use a lot of the physical abilities I had from my days as an All-Canadian Football League player. Even though it seemed like my characters often met a violent end, I did enjoy a certain range of roles, including comedy. Who am I?
