  1. I'm a long time fan of Martin, but find it sad that his early films were creative and different, but then he became the 're-make guy'..the father of the bride stuff and the out of towners (a terrible thing to do to the hilarious original). Evidently he just isn't writing anymore, or Hollywood just isn't interested. Luckily we still have his past work to enjoy.
  2. I don't know about all of these, but I watched Back Street on YouTube. I found a couple of films I wanted to keep, downloaded them to my laptop and burned them to DVD. The Apprenticeship of dk is on there too (haven't watched). There are a lot of old films and tv shows on the site, Sometimes you have to wade through bits and pieces to find them but I've marked about 30 channels that have a lot of older stuff..of course, quality varies, but most have been quite good.

  8. Do you know me? I got my start in vaudeville when I was 12. In the early 30's I was cast as part of a comedy team in over 30 popular shorts. The audience really thought they were watching our zany real life antics--why not?..our characters had our names. I was never a leading lady, but usually delivered the wise-cracks. I was over 60 when I finally received an award for my work..a Tony.
