I have to admit, I'm surprised 3 and 14 are still unanswered. Didn't think they'd be stoppers (different strokes, I guess...3 is one of my favorite tv comedies of all times...)
okay...let's finish his off:
3. The wife of the title character buys the bible at an auction...her hubby intends to take it back, but ends up having a professional relationship with the minister...and the minister decides to leave the church.
14. The lead sells the shoes door-to-door (?)...unfortunately, they came from a funeral supply place, and body heat makes them fall apart.
