thanks lavenderblue! There might have been some nepotism involved in securing this actor his early small roles in film and television, but he left it behind for a military stint and to sell cars for nearly a decade. He returned, and found his greatest fame co-starring on a very long running series. It was the last role he received screen credits for.

I'm thinking Clint Eastwood: he never did another tv show after Rawhide, and went on to star in hits like Dirty Harry, Play Misty for Me, and Every Which Way but Loose before racking up accolades as a director. ?

When my (late) cat, Ralphie Alfalfie was a kitten, he was a holy terror. Nothing stopped him, not noise, water pistols, threats. One night I was watching an old movie, and a prisoner started to play the harmonica, and Ralphie bolted from the room. Aha....Ralphie hated harmonicas! I bought a harmonica, played it every time he scratched anything, and soon I didn't even have to play it, just pull it out and wave it around...and he would stop. He grew into a big fluffy spoiled angel kitty who would only occasionally try to 'catch' the crawl line on CNN.
