Yes, perhaps it might be...

I youtubed it and went straight to the ending, it wasn't in color like I remembered it to be... but, it did turn into some majestic scenery with some fantastical lighting...perhaps it is the movie...

Saw this movie on tv one summer day when I was little in the 70's with my grandma.

 

The only thing that really stands out about this movie is the ending...

 

Well, throughout the movie it was about a young boy and his grandpa(?) (I think he had an Irish accent? English?)

 

*Black and white movie, Grandpa dies at the end and then there's this rainbow in beautiful technicolor (or whatever... but the rainbow was the only color in the movie and it ended on that note...)*

 

So... anybody know?
